In OVC I think Fairland will be fun to watch (new coach is heavy 3s and running the floor) but Chesapeake returns their top 4 scorers from an Elite 8 team that was a bucket from final 4. Their JV was really good so should be primed for a run. Bucket away? Those 15 point buckets are hard to come by

Any new rumors on who will be replacing Coach Speed

I say they can "afford" whoever they want. I have heard of a couple names other than Blaine , both will keep the Dragons in good shape

Coach Speed was/is definitely one of the top coaches in the area . Hes taken some teams that didnt have some of the best talent and turned them into winners . I liked his style of play like PFloyd does , it always gives other teams fits , thats probably why they have won so much . Unless the higher ...

If Speed does leave , Blaine Fuller will be taking over , should ne a smooth transition

Im a Dragon guy but Ive said all year the state is Portsmouths this year , I see no reason to change my prediction now . Fairland is playing some great ball now but they are about one player away .

I remember Oak Hill being pretty good . SV, along with Hannan Trace never had much . CG was pretty good when they had Chuck McKnight bombing away , thank goodness the three pointer was around back then , geesh.

I was curious if there is somewhere I could look up how many OVC basketball conference titles each school has , say over the last 30 , 40 or even 50 years ? I know the teams have changed thru the years but the core teams have been there for the long haul . Im guessing Chesapeake , Fairland then Sout...

I think Ironton lost this one more than Chesapeake won it. I dont know if the Ironton kids were just ignoring their coach or he doesnt have a clue how to coach . This game is definitely a head scratcher for Ironton fans .

I think Chesapeake will end up sharing the OVC title with Fairland . The Dragons may prove me wrong but I believe Chesapeake wins at home . Of course they have to take care of Ironton too , which wont be all that easy
