Re: SOC sweeps OVC
In the words of Herm Edwards, “You play to win the game.” Come Convo time it was the SOC teams advancing while the OVC teams are going home. You can argue all day, but the fact is the SOC will have 4 teams playing for a district title and the OVC will have none. Hats off, play better next year.

I would be very surprised if Terry is in Ironton and not South Bend next winter. Hope I’m wrong.

Re: Collins out @ Rock Hill
Shugg would be a good choice if he wants it. Rock Hill guy, been coaching a while, would bring new energy. If he is a teacher that would be a slam dunk.

Re: Prayers for Rock Hill
The press release made it sound like he went into the water when the kids scattered and got stuck in the mud. Terrible.

You can recruit as Ironton. Won’t be realistic because the Tiger Clan apartments are much nicer in the game but that’s Ok.

Re: 3/3 Northwest v Portsmouth
Portsmouth played in a great league and challenged themselves out of conference. Northwest can’t really say either. I’ll go with Portsmouth.

Re: OHSAA Board of Directors Approves Expansion Proposal
Maybe I'm wrong here, but I thought Africentric had some kind of selection process for getting into school. Not everyone who wants to go can go, so they pick the kids who get to go. Ironton, or any school who accepts open enrollment, cannot pick and choose which ones they let in. There are rules tha...

Re: OHSAA Board of Directors Approves Expansion Proposal
Ironton does bring it talent. Ironton doesn’t get to artificially deflate enrollment by only admitting talent.

Well Chesapeake won but I can’t see giving it to any individual on their team. I’d probably go Berry.

Re: OHSAA Board of Directors Approves Expansion Proposal
Just too bad they didnt put all of the corrupt religious/africentric schools in division 1. They should at least be bumped up 2 divisions. Africentric? You're joking, right? Africentric is a public high school that is part of Columbus City Schools. Funny how many great basketball players seem to ra...

Re: POY in Soc3 predictions
Give it to the best player on the best team unless you have a great reason why not. Should be Lattimore. Wish OVC would have a Player of the Year, think it’s a neat way to honor a kid and is fun to talk about.

Ironton’s two tournament games have been just like their season. Capable of looking really bad or really good any given night.

Re: Gallia Academy 2024
My understanding is they broke the sunshine rule and have to redo the interviews. That's what I was told a few days ago This cannot be true. Would be incompetence on an almost unbelievable level. So more than 1 board member sat in on interviews? That’s bad enough on its own without breaking the law.

Re: 2/24 Sectional Championship Chesapeake vs. Ironton
Tigers bigger and faster and, other than Chesapeake’s fans, meaner. Finally let the horses run all game and looked great. Need to do the same until they’re done. Schreck and Terry are a tough combo to hold down in a game like that.

Re: 3/3 Wheelersburg v South Point
I like Wheelersburg by a good margin here. Prater wont let Lovely beat them and South Point really doesn’t have another creator. South Point will have to defend for 32 minutes and that’s not their strength.

I love a tough schedule but it has to be reasonable. Can’t be 1-6 and starting your JVs come Week 8.

Re: Collins out @ Rock Hill
One of Rock Hill’s biggest problems through the years the board doing stuff like this. They seek to micromanage the schools instead of hiring an administration and letting them work. Then there are constant leaks, drama filled meetings, factions, etc. It’s sad because they have the community support...

Re: Division 3
Ironton wins 58-52. Gutty effort from Rock Hill, not the best 3 quarters of the season for the Tigers.
