Re: SOC 2 LEAGUE PROJECTIONS
I think it will come down to Minford, Valley, and Webster. I know Valley has a lot coming back but will they be able to replace Stuart? I know Copley can play but seems as if the Indians struggled when Stuart didn't score. I think Valley was outcoached also against Western. I think Minford has the d...

Re: SOC 1 2023 LEAGUE PROJECTIONS
I heard Metzler is back now at ND. If true, I would move the Titans up a couple. Whoever had the Titans in the bottom half of the league. WOAH

Re: Divisional Breakdown
As far as D4 to D3 jumps. I noticed Valley and Peebles will be making the jump. IMO Valley should of done more than just 1 district title in D4, but having 3 coaches in 4 years didn't help either. I compare the Norm Persin hire to the Urban Meyers to Jacksonville Jaguars hire.

Wasn't there supposed to be some girls varsity jobs that came open. West, Minford, etc....? Kind of went quiet

Not a lot of people are mentioning a certain individual who has put time in for many years as a JV Coach. I'll keep his name private due to respect for him.

Re: Coaching Openings
You might be a young coach that got passed on a job, idk, but there is some truth to what you are saying. Too many times you see 40+ year old coaches with 15% winning percentages that schools will hire just because they "have varsity coaching experience". They come in and think they can c...

Re: 21/22 OVC
Watched the Portsmouth game against Fairland last night. The Trojans didn’t run much offense. It was either 1 pass then shoot a 3, or whoever brought the ball down drove and flipped up a wild shot, or pulled up from deep. That along with no post defense made it hard to watch. Porter is a good shoot...

I just thought this year would be different with the Trojans with all the preseason hype. Still same ole Trojans.

Re: Whiteoak 75 Portsmouth 69
Are they working within the offense to get this 70 some points per game? How many are high percentage shots? I just feel majority of the games I’ve seen last year it was 3 after 3 after 3. In my comment I should of said sounds like the same old Trojans from previous years. PHS had a lot of hype this...

Re: Whiteoak 75 Portsmouth 69
What’s going on with the Trojans? I though they were supposed to be a completely different team this year? Same old Trojans it seems like. Undisciplined, not running an offense, and no defense. I think it’s time for a change at Portsmouth, but I have a feeling if a change happens it won’t be much of...

I do agree, West has a good backcourt and may surprise some teams. I believe this year teams will be ready for West and their 1-3-1.Westfan wrote: Sun Oct 24, 2021 6:35 pm West is right there with Waverly for the league title. People will be surprised how good the backcourt is this year. IMO the best in the area

Re: ***SOC 1 & 2 2021-2022***
ND and Western will fight it out for SOC 1 Title. I did have NB up there but after losing Mckinley I don't think they think Jackson and Voiers(spelling) can make them into contenders. Heard Western and Green got some kids from Eastern and heard Sampson had a great summer. 3-5 can all go in a differe...

All Honesty, who wouldn't want to send their kids to play sports at the burg? Sports are top notch from soccer, basketball, volleyball, baseball, softball and their academics are A+. Every year they are successful, so why not.

Re: New Boston Glenwood Tigers 2020-2021
Congrats to the Tigers. I thought Coach Cox had a great game plan both games. Feed Sexton and let him make plays. Defense has won these last two games. Don't know much about Columbus Grove but The Tigers will come out hungry and ready. Go Tigers

Re: Jr High
A lot of times Jr High teams/players can be very misleading. Some teams may just be more athletic, taller, stronger, faster, and older than their opponents. I see a lot of times where a kid is taller and just grabs offensive rebounds and scores. What I like to see is how they can handle the basketba...

Isn't this a girls basketball forum? Years past it has helped SW being in SOC II and being D4, but for some reason it has not worked out so far for Eastern. No idea why they decided to move up to the SOC II. Is Eastern girls D4 or D3?

I doubt you see many job openings this season. Most schools got new coaches last season but you never know.
