2019-2020 Chillicothe Cavaliers

A long way out. Thoughts?

Cavaliers return a boat load. Still have that pesky D1 to deal with being one of the smaller D1 teams in the state.
I look for Huffer to have his most successful year yet with this group.

Re: Regional Final: Wheelersburg vs Harvest Prep

CavAlum05, didn't think you'd be long getting on here talking about Burg after their loss. Care to enlighten us on Chillicothe's illustrious state championship history? Granted they were champs in basketball 2008? Anything else? Why don't you see if your sports program can get Burg on their schedul...

Re: Regional Final: Wheelersburg vs Harvest Prep

David Dennis is one of the best coaches in Ohio. Ive been to his summer camps and even helped out once years ago. It’s not simply better athletes. He gets the best out of everyone. He runs a very good program. I agree that he’s a really good coach. It sounds like he should get better help for his c...

Re: Regional Final: Wheelersburg vs Harvest Prep

He was definitely the difference maker to keep Holden in check. HP couldn’t shoot today so that was big.    Holden was only 5 off of his avearage. When he drove the lane he had 2-3 players around him. Instead of forcing the shot he kicked it out to wide open shooters. Shots jus...

Re: Regional Final: Wheelersburg vs Harvest Prep

Prep has more talent at every position but one. They also have players that come off the bench with more talent. BUT superior talent can be beaten by playing fundamental basketball. Set good picks, box out, run your offense, have good floor balance, make your free throws, stay between your man and ...

Re: Regional Final: Wheelersburg vs Harvest Prep

I’ve been saying for a time that Wheelersburg is the most talented team in the Region. I will stick to that and openly admit if I’m wrong after this game. Holden is still the best player on the floor. Yes .... CJ Anthony is very talented but doesn’t have Holden’s length. This is Wheelersburg’s last...

Re: Regional 3/14 Adena v Harvest Prep

I want to personally congratulate Adena on a great season. Adena has not really been relevant as of the last 10 years or so in bball. I remember shortly after i graduated they had success. First district title since the 80s? man, hats off fellas. Now go play baseball or track and enjoy yourselves. L...

Re: Regional 3/13 Zane Trace v New Philadelphia

Good question.
I think they need a more pure scorer. Simone who can score and take pressure off Evans. Definsively I think they are ok. With new transfer rules unless the kid is in ZT he has to sit out 2nd half right? (Idk exactly on that rule I know someone will)

Re: Regional 3/13 Zane Trace v New Philadelphia

Listened to the game last night. Is there anything better than having Mike Smith get excited on the radio? Sounded like ZT was the better team for 3 qts but ran out of gas in the 4th. Congrats on a great season. The SVC was well represented this year in tourney play and all the young men from ZT sh...

Re: Regional 3/14 Adena v Harvest Prep

IMO Adena loses. They are running into a program that recruits very heavily. Be proud of yourself for winning a District Title! Unfortunately, those power houses that recruit so heavily are all-star teams. Adena surprised me. They will have to play extremely well but I think they can play with them...

Re: 3/10 3PM Zane Trace (20-4) v Fairfield Union (16-8)

This was a fun game to watch. Congratulations to Fairfield Union on a nice season. They have a lot of very good players!!! I’ve read a lot of the comments on here about the game with a lot of predictions. I think it may have been 50/50 on the predictions. Now let’s talk about Zane Trace! These kids...
