Re: WEEK 6: GALLIA ACADEMY (5-0 2-0) @ FAIRLAND (3-2 1-1)

Starting second half of season. Blue devils need to still iron out a few things. number one of which is do not roll the quarterback to the left unless you know he has a easy throw to that flat. That is the only throw he can make rolling that way. Take the rest of those plays out of playbook. Drop h...

Re: D-1 Prospects in South Eastern Ohio

Just my two cents worth. Camps cost money, AAU cost money, All star games cost money, equipment cost money, personal coaches or extra training cost money, recruiting services or video editors cost money, and every parent will pay those extra cost if they think it gives there kids a chance to better ...

Re: WK5 Portsmouth (4-0) @ Gallia Academy (4-0)

Trojandave. That’s is a great thing glad to see things going in the right direction seems that they have found the right formula to get the program turned around. I know the camp the Carogen brothers put on At least one and maybe 2 GA grads work with them and love what they have going on down there

Re: WK5 Portsmouth (4-0) @ Gallia Academy (4-0)

Very good post Trojandave. I loved watching the Portsmouth teams form late 90's and early 00's some great teams and great players there. Are any of those players back helping coach or around the program? I would love to see G.A. get some of its glory years players back in coaching or just helping ou...

Re: WK5 Portsmouth (4-0) @ Gallia Academy (4-0)

Could we be looking at another truly special Blue Devil football team? Many of these questions will be answered this Friday night. If they beat the Trojans, as they should, it looks like their next true test will come at the Swamp against the Fighting Tigers of Ironton. I've been saying all year th...

Re: D-1 Prospects in South Eastern Ohio

Who are the kids in southeastern Ohio getting some looks at D-1 programs? Here are a few I see from games I have scene. (warning I am giving the kids the benefit of doubt here) Some of the younger kids have to get bigger faster stronger but they may have one aspect such as speed or just size that s...

Re: 2 Way Players

Gallia Academy only plays 3 most of the time. No lineman going both ways unless a goal line situation. I think as the go deeper in the year you may see a couple more guys going both ways but playing this many kids early I think helps development for the long term. I have also scene Wheelersburg do t...

I think 6-4 will be a tough on to get in but 7-3 I think would be a lock with the schedule they have this year but I could be wrong

Re: WK5 Portsmouth (4-0) @ Gallia Academy (4-0)

I think G.A. will get by Portsmouth but it will be an entertaining game with two of the top athletes in the southeastern Ohio going at it. I would say in the end Gallia will win by a two scores.....

Re: WK5 JACKSON. vs THA BURG ‘19

I think this one is going to be a great one. My complaint is either G.A. - Portsmouth or Jackson - Burg should be late night start so someone willing to drive could catch both or move one to another date.... I will go with Burg to win it but it will be a close one
