I hate that I missed last night's game. It sounds like it was a good one. Really hate to see Alexander dropping so many games late in the season. We need to turn this thing around going into the tournament.
Go Alex.

Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio - Week #9
Alex loses again in the Alley. This time to Trimble 49-46. Again this year, we see the Spartans peak too early. Every year we play our best basketball in late December and early January then start to fall off. The goal is to play your best basketball this time of the year and even though the kids a...

Re: Meigs @ Athens 2/8
I have been really impressed with Meigs talent this year, they just have not put it all together in the two games I have seen them play this year. I would say Athens has the advantage in strategy and in game adjustments. Meigs has stolen games from Athens in the past when Athens feels like the game ...

Re: Athens at Alexander online stream - 2/2
Williams is player of the game. His ability to break down the defense with the dribble and get to the lane killed Alexander defense. Alexander struggled so much against a AAU zone, just an extended 2-3 that looked more like a 4-1. The best offense we could come up with in the second have was shootin...

Re: Athens v. Alexander Round 2
I honestly have no good prediction on this game. it could go either way. there are a lot of factors that go into this game so I have no clue. My thoughts exactly. Big crowd, lots of pressure, who handles it the best (mentally) may come out on top. On a side note: I hope the refs let Section 8 be Se...

Re: Athens v. Alexander Round 2
This will be an interesting matchup. Style favors Athens, I think if Alexander can find a way to speed the game up and extend the benches of both teams that give us the best chance to win.
slowdown game verses the zone Athens 43-40. up tempo both teams playing 9 deep, Alexander 62 - 55.
Go Alex.

Re: Warren 59 Alexander 46 a final ...
nice write up. thanks for the non-biased fact base information.
Alexander struggled with some adversity. For a team that goes 10 deep, we must build more depth in some areas. Warren is solid as usual.
Go Alex.

Re: 1/15 Alexander @ Vinton County
I too, was surprised by the margin. However, not to take anything away from the Alexander victory, Eli Griffith went down with an ankle injury in the 2nd quarter. I don't think it was a 30 point difference. But, he is a very valuable piece to the Vikings offense and defense. Also, Caleb Terry final...

Re: Athens vs. Alexander
I'm not surprised at all. I haven't seen Alexander in person this year, but last year I did see them 3or 4 games. Last year they didn't really play through Terry in the games that I watched either. They had a couple pretty good quick guards, and did shoot the 3 ball pretty well. I agree that he nee...

Re: Athens vs. Alexander
Alexander really struggles against a zone. Athens was committed to defense, rebounding and attacking the basket.
Spartans have a tough schedule going forward. We will see how they bounce back.
Go Alex.

Re: [=== SCORES ===] -- Friday Nov-30
Terry played well in the fourth. Not sure why we don’t get him the ball more. Ruby playing like a man. He hit a three to go up two. Alex hit a layup to send it to overtime.

Re: Meigs 8 Alexander 0
this was a field position game. the weather was a huge factor in the score. There was one big play by Meigs that flipped the field and setup the only score of the game. Meigs did a better job than Alex did in creating opportunities, but the opportunities were hard to find with the field conditions a...

Re: 2018/19 TVC-Ohio
Caleb Terry needs to touch the ball every time down the floor. To have a kid with that kind of size and touch and to only get the ball about 6 times a game is criminal.
Maxfield really impressed last year.
Meigs has some nice guard play.
VC lost a ton to graduation and transfer.

Re: Warren 33 Alexander 21
We lost 33-21. Coach Dean really opened up the playbook in the second half. Actually called a play action pass and yes bit went for a touchdown. The first half was a little better, but too much if the old stuff that does not work. Really improved play calling in the second half. Defense was not as g...

Re: Alexander (4-4) @ Warren (1-7)
I thought the offense looked better against NY at times. But it just feels like we limit ourselves with our play calls. We had times that we were unpredictable for about half a possession, but then after a little bit of success we go back to the same bitty ball stuff that does not work. We cannot m...
