Re: jr high softball

Talked to a friend who has watched teams play a lot last several years. He says top 5 will be:
1. Ironton
2. Wheelersburg
3. Oak Hill
4. Minford
5. Northwest
Sound about right?

Re: jr high softball

Yes Claxon is a freshman. He was saying he thinks burg will have enough talent without her. She was a very good pitcher last year & I'm sure will do well in HS.

Re: jr high softball

Good to see there is a lot of talent in the area! I'm sure there will be several good teams this year. But it's jr high so I think it'll take seeing the teams on the field. Who knows which kids have put the work in the winter or how kids have grown & gotten stronger. I'm sure there are some kids...

Re: Softball bat

My DD swings the 454 lite. Its a 30/18. She absolutely loves it, has/had great pop right out of the wrapper. I have a brand new 28/16 of the same model that I am interested in selling, has never left the house. I bought the wrong size by mistake, and before I came home she already had it out of the...

Still looking for one girl to finish our roster. Catcher/utility player. If your DD is still looking for the right team give me a call this is a very good, hard working group of girls.

Re: Softball bat

The Easton Synge is much cheaper if your looking at that route. It comes in -11.5 & is a pretty decent bat for a 9yr old. Thats what my DD had last year at 9.

Re: Softball bat

Worth 454, DeMarini cf5, & Louisville Slugger Xeno are all really good bats. Depending on her size you just have to see what drop they come in whether she needs a -12,-11, or possibly -10 but that may be a little much for a 9u but again just depends on her size & what she can swing. I am goi...
