Saw in another thread that the April 25th meeting is when we get finalized enrollment numbers and divisional placing for this new season. Almost a week out now.

Do any programs have their schedules finalized for this upcoming season? we are slowly inching towards Summer thankfully.

Saw a spreadsheet in another forum here and it outlines divisions based off this current year enrollment. 13-14 schools in D5 with Portsmouth West one student over the limit in D4. Northwest about 10 off from D5, most others are about 20+ off the cutoff, I’d say D5 will definitely merge with the Eas...

I can imagine alot of the D2 schools will not be too pleased. as a SHAC fan nothing really changes for any of our teams in the postseason. D5 will be South Webster, St Joe, Lynchburg and North Adams most likely, unless a South Point sneaks in somehow. But they seem like a fairly large school. I wish...

Looks like today is the day the OHSAA votes on divisional expansion. I still think 5 is slightly too many as I'd rather have it at 4 divisions but still very interested to see how the divisions shake out if this change does go through.

Very true. lot of young men will need to step up to replace them on their respective teams this upcoming season if they want to continue their success.

Can South Webster conquer burg in the regular season this upcoming season? what about Minford? northwest lost alot of talent this upcoming season, how will they fare?

Should be interesting to see if anything is changed and how the divisions will look afterward. I’m hoping for only 4 divisions as anything more will make the divisions far too sparse.

I’d assume Gallia or South Point will be the main contenders? Fairland was solid last year but don’t know who they are losing or gaining.

St Joes or Valleys to lose it seems. Does anyone know if a Clay will be fielding a team next season?

Assuming Lynchburg is the favorite(until someone knocks them off) who else can challenge Im the shac this upcoming season? North Adams loses key pieces but are always well coached. Fayetteville loses some scorers I believe but are always a challenge and I think they’d compete well if they ever were ...

yes 4 divisions would be good for boys soccer. Girls soccer at least in the Southeast would be too sparse as there are a few less teams i think(could be wrong). Think it would spice things up and give a few more teams a chance to win sectionals, districts, etc. not sure what the cutoff number would ...

I think all those extra divisions are for basketball and baseball..soccer would be good with 4 divisions imo.

The more the merrier imo. Would be fun to see. I wonder who would be in d3/d4 and if any of the smaller schools drop from d2 to d3 based off how they do the divisional assignments.

Peebles boys beat a very talented bethel Tate team last night. They were 11-2-2 coming in to that game. Peebles finishes the regular season at 9-7

Whiteoak will be joining the SHAC as a varsity program next season. Looks like they will be co-ed for atleast a year.

I think the top 5 seeds or so are set this year for D3. Burg, Northwest, South Webster, North Adams, and South Point. not sure if any outside of those 5 could win a district this year. St Joe is talented but not on the level of the big guns imo. Lynchburg the same and always plays really good soccer...

A week away from the draw, what are predictions for the boys? And potential surprises on the D2 or D3 front?

From what I’ve heard yes. I think the rumor is to have them join the SHAC for the 2024 season. Not sure if they have enough for both a boys and a girls team. Either way it’s great to see another school get soccer.
