Re: Ironton 2025 Schedule, Wish List & Done Deals?
Bridgeport and Fairmont senior have mostly standard set schedules every year and dont have to deviate much or travel much. They wont be interested. Also thats a 3 and a half hour trip. Bridegeport & Senior fans hardly even like the trip to Charleston. If Ironton is gonna schedule wv teams its g...

Re: South Webster (3-0) vs Oak Hill (4-2)
Oak Hill has beaten Clay, Wellston, New Boston, and Sciotoville and lost badly to West and Minford. Unless the wheels completely fall off the bus, South Webster should win by 20+ points. Oak Hill has surprised me a little bit this year but their early season competition has not been great.

Re: 2025 SOC II
Oak Hill unfortunately has had their worst 4 year run in the history of football, going 3-35. However, the positive thing is that the only place to go is up. Much more competitive last year at times.

Re: Fairlands Coach Speed gets #322
He gets a lot out of his players in such a great way. Doesn’t shy away from great competition in non-league matchups, and even in their “down” years still seems to produce really good teams. I could be wrong but I don’t know if he’s ever had a losing season. If Coach Speed continues coaching, it wou...

The MAC, if my math is correct, has won 31 State Championships for football since 2000.

Re: Scrimmage, Previews and foundation games
As good as Roberts is, his attitude and disposition is three times worse. If all of this is true, then he should not be allowed back on the team. No player, no matter how good, is bigger than the team or the game. If somehow, someway, Norm gets overrun on the decision, then he’s done. As far back as...

Re: Week 15 : #2 (13-1) West Liberty Salem vs #1 (13-1) Ironton
Strength of Schedule might play a huge difference in this one as Ironton’s SOS is #2 in DV and West Liberty Salem’s is #70 in DV. It’s always an accomplishment to win a Regional. This will be Ironton’s 14 Appearance in the State Semfinals. It looks as though this is West Liberty Salem’s 1st appearan...

Re: Wk 13: Wheelersburg vs, West Muskingum
I don’t think that Burg “rolls” but they should win. West Muskingum has some good wins, including one over Licking Valley.
Wheelersburg is going to have to play possession football once again and grind the tempo way down.

Re: Week 13 : #4 (9-2) Harvest Prep vs #1 (11-1) Ironton
Ironton is averaging 47.92 points per game while giving up an average of 11 points per game. Harvest Prep is averaging 32.45 points per game while giving up an average of 13.72 points per game. Harvest Prep will want the game to be like last year; low scoring and grind it out, making Ironton’s defen...

Re: Trimble @ Conotton Valley
Conotton Valley won their first ever playoff game last week. Very interesting matchup because it’s a contrast in historically different programs and what they’re currently doing offensively. If Trimble is to win, it’s not going to be a high scoring affair and a lot of high percentage execution in cr...

Re: Regular season is over…. Who’s time is up???
Since he’s been at Chesapeake, they’ve been 16-40 and 6-33 vs the OVC.
Prior to this, he was 49-83 at Rock Hill.
Combined record of 65-123.
This isn’t a knock on them as a person or human being and he has improved the number of wins each year at Chesapeake.

Re: Week 12 : #8 (8-3) Portsmouth @ #1 (10-1) Ironton
Portsmouth will do the same thing everyone else has tried: keeping their offense off the field and chewing up clock. Regardless of the week 10 score, it’s a completely different scenario in the playoffs. Does Ironton win? I believe that they do. Could it be a larger margin of victory than week 10? M...

Re: Week 12 Wheelersburg (7-4) @ Union Local (9-2)
If Wheelersburg is to win this game, they’re going to have to control the line of scrimmage and keep UL’s offense off the field as much as possible. Don’t let UL hang around. Both teams will come in well prepared. It wouldn’t surprise me to see Wheelersburg win this game along the lines of 28-12. I...

Re: D6 23: Colonel Crawford (8-2) @ Monroe Central (9-1)
Colonel Crawford has been consistently good over the last decade or so and since 2019, has had at least 8 wins every year and has won some playoff games in that timeframe. Both teams can score. Colonel Crawford has played a much tougher schedule overall but, going to Woodsfield and winning is no eas...

Re: Three teams drop out to avoid playing Marion Local in playoffs
If it’s numbers related for dropping out, it makes complete sense. For any other reason, it’s just avoidance of playing ML. However, I would prefer to play them than many other schools as a 1st round draw. ML does everything with class. They wouldn’t run the score up.

Athens should win this one by a touchdown.
Region 11 is a buzzsaw. 3 undefeated teams, 3 1-loss teams, and 3 2-loss teams in the playoffs. Whomever wins this region will be well prepared for the State Semifinal game.
