Re: Gallia Academy - Coal Grove

Final GA 44-20
Gallia has a phenomenal 2nd defense. If they can get it like that in the first half they will be scary. GA was 30
Points better but JV at the end gave up 6.

The Williams kid was around 52 as a freshman. The 400 is a mans race, I think the toughest race in track.

Well if Armstrong ran a 4.5 at the opening and people are saying Williams and Woodson are faster that puts them pretty close to the 4.4-4.5 range

Re: WEEK 6: GALLIA ACADEMY (5-0 2-0) @ FAIRLAND (3-2 1-1)

First off, Armstrong is also 25-30 lbs. heavier. But Briar may be faster. Nothing against Briar at all, just saying. And if I had to wager, I'd bet Woodson is actually the fastest on the team. What a problem to have. In pads, maybe. All I know is what was heard from the track coach. He said Briar a...

Re: WEEK 6: GALLIA ACADEMY (5-0 2-0) @ FAIRLAND (3-2 1-1)

Good thing this game is at Fairland, wouldn’t want GA maintenance men to accidentally forget to turn the sprinklers off again like last week  I thought that story was made up until I talked to the source. They said they left the sprinklers on. Apologized to the head coach and athletic director...

Re: WEEK 6: GALLIA ACADEMY (5-0 2-0) @ FAIRLAND (3-2 1-1)

I think GA is a better team but Fairland does have many good athletes that could hurt us. I am starting to see the offense open up more for GA which is exciting. Last week saw a glimpse of a power package. Also over the last few weeks we have seen we have many athletes who can make plays.#5 (Not a g...

Re: 2 Way Players

Gallia I think has about 4 that play bothways although they rotate about 2 or 3 more. Hardly any of the line plays both ways

Re: WK5 Portsmouth (4-0) @ Gallia Academy (4-0)

Could we be looking at another truly special Blue Devil football team? Many of these questions will be answered this Friday night. If they beat the Trojans, as they should, it looks like their next true test will come at the Swamp against the Fighting Tigers of Ironton. I've been saying all year th...

Re: WK5 Portsmouth (4-0) @ Gallia Academy (4-0)

GA absolutely shut down Parker last year and I expect nothing less. Only difference is Portsmouth can pass a little bit now. GA’s defense is fast but they take a few drives to lock in. So could be a good one going into half, but a bad one at the end. Kinda like Chesapeake. O line and D line play wil...

Re: Chesapeake (2-1 0-0) @ Gallia Academy (3-0 0-0)

If you want to tell me tonight’s offense looked a lot like last years I would agree with that. Very much so. Happy that #1 had such a good game. Teams will now have to focus on more than 1 player to defeat us. Overall happy with the performance, slow start for GA but after half they got it rolling....

Re: Chesapeake (2-1 0-0) @ Gallia Academy (3-0 0-0)

The OC is going to have to change somethings that work best for the tremendous athletes Gallia has. They can’t run the same type of power offense with speed backs. It simply doesn’t work. We’ve gotten lucky especially against point. If I don’t see changes in the next two weeks, we could lose 2-3 ga...

Re: WK 4 - St. Clairsville (3-0) @ Martins Ferry (1-2)

As a Gallia fan, I’d like St.Clairsville to lose 1. 1. So we don’t have to play them first round (if GAs season goes as predicted) 2.maybr GA can have a home playoff game

If Peake couldn’t keep up with Minfords athletes they sure won’t keep up with Gallia’s. You are very bold saying they are better.

Re: WK3 Point Pleasant (0-0) @ Gallia Academy (2-0 0-0) "BATTLE OF THE BRIDGE"

Lol. How did that work out for you? As a GA grad, I would have been glad that they won, but my kids go to RV, so that is my loyalty now. And the GA of today isn't the same school I went to. That being said, if Point hadn't had their star rb taken out in a squad and they didn't have 1st game mistake...

Re: WK3 Point Pleasant (0-0) @ Gallia Academy (2-0 0-0) "BATTLE OF THE BRIDGE"

I'm going with Point by whatever they want it to be. We sat behind their coaches at the GA/RV game. When they left at the 2nd quarter, told them good luck, and to beat them for us, said no problem, they aren't worried about anyone or anything GA has. Lol. How did that work out for you? As a GA grad...
