Re: Officiating in the Area
I've watched a lot of basketball this year from biddy to HS and I think the officiating has been very good. The biggest thing I've noticed is how consistent the officials have been this year. Some crews let them play more than others, but they have been consistent in their calls throughout the game....

Re: Week 2 Polls
Any recognition for this area is a great thing.
It looked as though around 20 writers voted. I wonder how many voters were from this area? That might explain why so many area teams are ranked.

Re: Waverly @ Wheelersburg 1/7
The kids for burg have increased their jawing since ater got there. I agree with laser that all kids run their mouth but burg kids are getting the technicals which probably means they are making it more aware to the officials. All kids and teams do not run their mouths. I have been to far more game...

Re: Southeastern Ohio District D4 Basketball
Do the other sectionals in Ohio have sectional games at the higher seeded teams?
If so, why is the SE doing it this way? Is it because of travel?

Anyone (Paladin) who would be critical of Division 1 athletes in any way shows how crazy they are.

Re: 12/13 West @ Burg
That is a big home court advantage having Burgs student section there in 2nd half.
Also, isnt the opposing bench on that end?
Just asking for trouble, IMO

Re: SOC2 2019-20
Rough foundation game for the Tigers. Not having Futhey and Smallwood it was hard for waverly to match the size of Adena. Adena is going to be really good and challenge Zane Trace for the SVC title. Waverly will be ok once they get the rotation set and some more pieces healthy. Robertson has gotten...

Re: SEOPS Playoff meet up at Nelsonville-York
Of course the coaches and players dont care about seating, they dont have to worry about it.
IMO, which doesn't mean anything, they should have enough seating for the expected crowd.

Re: Best Playoff Host
All stadiums mentioned are great. One thing I consider also is seating. I think within reason, you should be able to seat the crowd expected.
Best seating options:
Jackson
Chillicothe
Logan
Valley

Pretty sure divisions and regions are on a 2 year cycle.
If that's the case FF ans Trimble have one more year where they are at

That is 100% a penalty in today's game. That block was unnecessary, that kid was not close to making the play.

Re: The future of grass fields
This area is lucky to have so many nice facilities. The SOC II has great facilities for the athletes to play in.
Hopefully, Minfords field turf happens soon and maybe West will try for turf sometime.

Hammond is Oak Hills post player.
Hanning is their wing player.
Both are good players and both are seniors.

Re: D3 Boys North/South Hurdles
I know you probably already know this, but it all depends on the participation numbers. I remember a few years ago, the boys were together in one big district meet also. Hopefully, the girls participation numbers are large enough that they will split this district up again for the girls. But you are...
