I agree it's not on officials, but I also agree if they are rolled and the drawstring is tucked, what's the big deal. I know from experience coaching multiple sports that it is difficult to fit each kid, whether it be varsity or JV.

I've watched a ton of games this year and have seen it enforced ONCE!! However, the undershirt rule has been enforced more this year. I have never understood the undershirt rule, if it is black, white, or a school color it shouldn't matter.

Coach Gifford isn't from Sciotoville correct? So no real ties to that area. The facilities alone would be a reason to try a new job. I'm sure the pay will be better also.

I can see this happening in more states in the future. It will be interesting to see how this issue all plays out. Football is going to continue to look for more ways to make the game safe, especially for the younger age levels thru high school.
