Re: DIV 4 Northwest Sectional Seeding Predictions

East is now 13-4 after winning 69-45 at Ashland Fairview tonight. Fairview was coming off a 1 possession loss to Ashland. East is The Best team in the S.O.C. 1, they would beat S.W. 9/10 times 10/10 on neutral floor. Eastern second best team in S.O.C. 1. ND/Clay close third. Western will be a tough ...

Re: DIV 4 Northwest Sectional Seeding Predictions

bbjunky, No response to checking the ppg for Hadinger and Zimmerman? Then, I guess Western will be above SW then..... I'm simply saying, it's harder to compare two teams based off of hypothetical losses ( we only lost to a team by 5, you would have lost by 15, etc.). It's more accurate, logical, and...

Re: DIV 4 Northwest Sectional Seeding Predictions

Again, I call it how I see it. I'm from Muletown. I watch Minford more than anybody. And sometimes I like to venture down 335 to catch Eastern Pike. I am a fan of all basketball, whether it be D2, D3, or D4. I go out and watch as many teams play as I possibly can. Just love to talk about it. If you...

Re: DIV 4 Northwest Sectional Seeding Predictions

Sciotoville 11-4 SW fans, how many points per game does the Hadinger kid average? What is his career high? Mentioned Clay last year because they won the league, had a better record, better seed, and whipped East by 30+ at Clay......and still only made it as deep as East in the tournament. I don't t...

Re: DIV 4 Northwest Sectional Seeding Predictions

Thanks for the correction. Will edit previous post. Basketball is heavily based on matchups, and that will matter more in deciding who is better than who in the end. Why are certain losses more damning to one team, while other teams get a free pass for theirs? I like when teams play a tough schedule...

Re: DIV 4 Northwest Sectional Seeding Predictions

A lot of flawed logic in many of these posts. Can't argue that Clay whipped East the other night. It happened, but in how many games is Akia Brown only going to score 4 points? Clay also demolished East last year at Clay. They split last season as well. East was down by 12 at halftime at Clay. At Ea...

Re: DIV 4 Northwest Sectional Seeding Predictions

Manchester has been a team in the past have 12-13 loses and still make it in districts it shows had good or tough there league is I don't ever recall a 12-loss Manchester team making it to Districts. Enlighten me. They have had some very good teams, and a few teams that were just above average make...

Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio Week #8

The Tartans are now 11-3.

They have beat the ND team ranked right ahead of them by 17 (@ND) and by 23 (@East).

Of those 11 wins, only 1 was decided by single digits.
Huge week for the Tartans as they travel to Clay Tuesday, then to Eastern on Friday, and finish at Ashland Fairview on Saturday.

Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio Week #7

That's why I said the Tartans did what they should have done. The games were at home against weaker opponents. They are 10-3. Great points on Webster and Western, just adding more info surrounding that game. Those are some solid wins by South Gallia, they are on a nice little streak. Those were just...

Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio Week #7

Just a few talking points... Western just beat SW on a neutral court and has a better record. They also did it the night after a very tough 2 pt loss to Clay. SW rolled (and rested) over Northwest the previous night. The Sciotoville East Tartans are 10-3. They averaged nearly 85 points, and won by a...

Re: Eastern at Notre Dame

I think some of you are not factoring in the role that Western will play. They won't win the league, but they will help play spoiler, especially at home. East has already gone to Latham and survived. Eastern and ND still have not played there. The league champ will likely have 2 losses in my opinion...

Re: SOC1/SOC2 Predictions

I believe Clay has 3 league losses (Eastern, East, ND). Going to be tough for them now, but they are good enough to play a factor in who wins the league. ND vs. Eastern tonight will also cause some separation near the top. East is in the driver seat, and has done a nice job putting themselves in pos...

Great win by Valley! Really impressed with their schedule, and the way they have just found ways to get the "W" regardless of opponent, location, circumstances, etc. Hats off to their coaching staff.

Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio Week #5

I think statements like that EPN cost some credibility. No, they are not. On a good night (as they have proved) they can play with Valley, but not over the course of the season. I think there are about 10-15 really good teams in the district. The next tier has about 20 or so teams capable of beating...

Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio Week #5

South Webster was the better team the other night. It only took a career game from their best player. What does the score look like if he scores at his average and not nearly 40? Kudos to him though, and shame on the East defense. I won't mention several factors that East was facing adversity-wise p...

Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio Week #4

Crabs Brother, I couldn't disagree with you more. Based on the evidence at hand where would you place Oak Hill and the Burg? No way would the 4th or 5th (I don't think the 3rd either) best teams in SOC II win the title in SOC I. The difference in the two leagues is not that severe at the top. I pers...
