Re: D3R9 #8 Bishop Watterson vs. #4 Jackson
OK, that makes more sense. Logic would suggest a school playing on FRI could perfectly host on SAT (vice versa), but then again OHSAA isn't always logical [*winks*]. Nevertheless, it appears I'm wrong on this one (I only know one guy who was right all the time). Oh well. I'll throw the bone you're w...

Not sure what you're referring to, but take it with it me in private messaging, not on this thread.

Re: D3R9 #8 Bishop Watterson vs. #4 Jackson
Watterson is deep and the Eagles' strength is definitely in the defense. It should be a pretty solid game. If Jackson can get 17+ on BW, I'd like their chances if the Ironmen D plays well. Jackson can't play sloppy if they want a chance in this one.

Re: D3R9 #8 Bishop Watterson vs. #4 Jackson
Hamilton Township field is another possible location. I think we'll see Kilbourne/Licking Heights there. WK/LH would make sense at New Albany, but that might host Danville/Harvest Prep. I'm not sure what schools applied to do playoffs, but BC would make sense for a field for this game, 1) because C...

I wish it wasn't. The field and the hill is nice; the parking situation is terrible.

With regards to the coaches being out by the numbers: their coach does that a lot but he's definitely not the only coach that does it. Evidently Central District doesn't have a problem with it.

HP/Danville possibilities: New Albany, Ohio Wesleyan, Newark
Trimble/Caldwell: probably New Lex or Athens

Congrats to SG on making the playoffs, a feat many schools wish they accomplished this season.

Help me out here, can schools host a Friday night game AND a Saturday night game in the same week/round?

SCOL isn't going to prepare Chillicothe for playoffs. Massie and maybe Wilmington? The rest of that league is very bad.

Bloom-Carroll would be my guess.
Wheelersburg will probably play Ridgewood @ Chillicothe.
ZT/Alexander will probably be Logan.

Re: Playoffs #6 River @ #3 Grandview Heights
If I may weigh in on this debate. First question. If River is so good and can run through the likes of Fort Frye and Caldwell why don't they play either team? They play every other PVC team. Second question. Why are people thinking "strength of schedule" and 2nd level points are meaningle...

And Danville is much better than what you think. They're #1 in the STATE for a reason.

98 Fisher (state runner-up to the DSJ/Chad Schulte buzzsaw) or 93 Fisher (10-0 regular season before losing 6-21 to Newark Catholic)

Re: 2016 Athens
Them leaving the MSL was a big mistake. But there is a lot of pressure on school boards and athletic directors in central Ohio to be in the OCC. Canal is going to finish 1-9 with only victory over lowly Westerville North (probably the worst program in the OCC over the last decade). They've got simi...

Re: 11/4 Matches
Not to be a pedant, but I believe it was past sectionals... "regardless". FCA wasn't necessarily a clear cut #1 seed and miles ahead of the rest of the top four, as the other three had pretty impressive resumes too in some varying extents. But yes, I wouldn't have expected FCA to lose as s...
