Re: DV R17 Finals #2 Zane Trace v. #1 Wheelersburg

If that pass is thrown a little bit further it's a TD. Also, I believe No 11 was Pierce Mowery and someone on here made the comment he was the best athlete on the field. I highly doubt that as the Burg kept him in check all night. The whole Burg offense and defense were the best players on the fiel...

Re: DV R17 Finals #2 Zane Trace v. #1 Wheelersburg

WOW been at Waverly's stadium and that's just way to much for that stadium to hold but really with that number, Jackson is about the only stadium that was going to hold that. Told my wife they'd have more people then Jackson/Zanesville never heard a number the stands were almost full but I was on t...

Re: DV R17 Finals #2 Zane Trace v. #1 Wheelersburg

Madd Dogg: It's about 2 hrs for both, so a fair spot. Go 23 to Chillicothe, and then West on 35 to Dayton, and you'll run into Xenia, Ohio. Coldwater/Wheelersburg & Edison/Canton Central Catholic makes more sense from the travel perspective than Coldwater/Edison, Coldwater/Canton Central Cathol...

Re: What Makes a "Strong/Good" Youth Program?

Central Catholic League feeder schools, I think there's 16-20, all have youth programs ranging from 4th grade to 8th grade. The principle isn't all about winning, its about teaching kids how to play football, how to be a team player and be adjustable if coach needs you at another position, and it al...

Willing to bet 75% of the posters on Yappi can not locate Wheelersburg nor Ridgewood (West Lafayette) on a map of Ohio.

Re: Why did the last Burg vs Zane Trace Post get locked????

I clicked on a page of that thread at random and the first few posts I saw were about Ronda Rousey, Holly Holm, and a nuke being dropped on Waverly. Obviously, none of those things are relevant to the game being played and I'm personally all for banter acts but a lot of those posts simply have no d...

Re: small powerhouse schools

Let's take a step back and recognize small (public) school success athletically is not only found in the MAC. Western and Northwest Ohio are home to some very successful, tradition rich, and proud conferences that befit "conservative(,) work ethic, and location"; examples of these "MA...

Re: Playoffs D3R9 #3 Zanesville vs. #2 Columbus DeSales

If you wanna go that route and use "Katie" as an example which is crazy, whole different story. De Sales in football has many "Katie's" just about every year. Cream of the crop. No victim here Abe, just telling it like it is. I hope Zanesville has a miracle tomorrow and over com...

Re: Playoffs D7R23 #4 Harvest Prep vs. #1 Danville

I am marveled every time I think of Athens' offense how they managed to execute the pick plays so cleanly. Often times when I see one get attempted, they turn into offensive PI because of a lack of discipline.

Re: Playoffs D5R17 #2 Zane Trace (11-0) vs #3 Alexander (10-1)

Alexander hasn't put 40 points on an oppenent unless they were a DVII school. ZT averages 40 a game, good luck stopping the O if your Alexander and good luck to scoring for Alexander after watching the RV game. Its as if school size ultimately matters. DV-DVII doesn't really matter, if you play goo...

Re: D3R9 #8 Bishop Watterson vs. #4 Jackson

I went to LU/Circleville last season, which was played at Circleville, and I'm 100% sure it was grass. Hamilton Twp, Bloom-Carroll, and I believe Canal Winchester are all turf fields and are as close as you can get to Circleville along with Chillicothe. Pretty sure Logan Elm is grass.

Re: D3R9 #8 Bishop Watterson vs. #4 Jackson

OK, that makes more sense. Logic would suggest a school playing on FRI could perfectly host on SAT (vice versa), but then again OHSAA isn't always logical [*winks*]. Nevertheless, it appears I'm wrong on this one (I only know one guy who was right all the time). Oh well. I'll throw the bone you're w...
