Re: wellston vs. jackson
If Jackson has any talent at all they will win this game. After seeing Wellston not being able to beat Jackson in the early 2000's with talent like Brad Young, Thomas Mayes, Rex Herrold, and so forth. It has become obvious to me that Jackson's average to mediocre is still better than Wellston's best.

Re: wellston vs. jackson
let's see jackson has a new coach who likes to throw and a new QB from GAHS. Wellston has never been very good at stopping any type of passing attack. LOOK OUT Rockets

Re: WELLSTON ROCKETS 2009
20 years. last Wellston win 1989 21-7. I understand Wellston fans desire to see a Rocket victory over the Ironmen. Believe you me I would love to see it too. But, talking smack doesn't help your cause at all. And, all you'll end up doing is eating crow and having egg on your face.

grizzlynatural I said sustained winds not wind gusts. The walls aren't going to collapse there just bringing them up to spec.

Re: Wellston Building Problems
There are some problems with there not being enough steel reinforcement in the walls. There is the small chance of the walls collapsing in 45mph+ sustained winds. There are plans to fix the problem starting in June and on thru October. As far as sending kids to other schools or it affecting sports I...

Re: Andy Hall hired as new Jackson coach
So let me get this straight. Jackson tries to gain entry into the TVC Ohio because they claim financial woes in the SEOAL. Then after hiring a new coach they order new uniforms even though the team just got new ones last season(2008) and only wore the previous set for 3 seasons(2005-2007). Sounds li...

Your are wrong my friend. The bold statement is to say that Wellston will win.

Re: The Ideal SEOAL
I have a question for all the NY people. Will the buckeyes be willing to let the Ironmen in the TVC or will they vote no because of the obvious threat to their championship dominace that Jackson brings to the table?

Wellston isn't going to beat Jackson no matter who's the coach at Jackson.

buckeyes3645. From my understanding they want out due to travel and money issues. Not competition.

Re: The Official "Who's Next at Jackson Thread"
Well from what I've heard the new coach may not be coaching in the SEOAL for long. The Ironmen want out of the dying SEOAL and have courted two other leagues one being the TVC.

Sounds like the SEOAL is going to be on life support pretty soon. My question is where does Logan, and Chilli stand in this potential mess?

Re: The Official "Who's Next at Jackson Thread"
West Virginia high school football IMO is bush league compared to even southeastern Ohio. To me winning a state title in West Virginia is like making it to the first round in Ohio. Just because this guy did well in West Virginia doesn't mean he'll do well here. I'm not meaning to hate on this guy I'...

Re: Is Jackson Leaving SEOAL?
If anything Wellston should move to the SVC. All the schools in that league are within about 50 miles of Wellston and I think with the exception of Westfall in football they would compete really well. If Jackson does leave the SEOAL it would be because of not being able to compete for league titles ...

Re: WK 2 (1-0) Minford @ (0-1) Wellston
I wonder if Larry Blackstone will come to this game like he did last week for the Jackson game. Looks to me like someone is scouting a potential coaching job in Wellston.
