Re: Caldwell (8-5) @ Fort Frye (12-1) 1/26
I have Caldwell’s record at 9-5 based off of the east district site. Fort is obviously the favorite, they’re senior dominated and playing at home and Caldwell is a year away. Fort controlled the first matchup from halftime on and won by 20. If Jett Lori and Kowalsky give Bede any help at all this ti...

Re: Fort Frye 54 @ Caldwell 33 Final
You Fort people are getting spoiled, you have a great group of senior winners, enjoy their success lol. Two of the teams they’ve beaten recently won handily this weekend on the road, New Philly pounded St. Clairsville and Caldwell turned around tonight and controlled the entire game against Martins ...

Re: 12/29/20 Belpre (45) @ South Webster City (32)
I don’t think Belpre is a bad team. They made Fort Frye earn it according to the Marietta times. This will likely be another year that whoever comes out of the d4 eastern district will win the region. My money is on Malvern this year. They beat Steubenville handily last week.

How about the Warren vs Caldwell game I guess no one bought the $9.99 stream  It was free through apex gaming online in Caldwell. This was the first time I got to see a game in person. Warren jumped out 11-2, Caldwell called a timeout and proceeded to rattle off a 13-2 run of their own. A buzz...

Re: Games and scores: 12-15-20
Shenandoah beat Caldwell at Shenandoah 55-52. I watched the live stream, the announcers had the foul total at 27-9 for the game. Shenandoah zone really seemed like it slowed the game down.

Re: Fort Frye 54 Fairland 53 a final
It’s basketball, nights like that happen. Fort Frye plays pack line defense, they take away driving lanes with excellent help and force teams to live or die from the three. Fort is very good, so is Fairland. You’re questioning a final four coach returning everyone from a regional tournament team, I’...

Caldwell 64 reedsville eastern 27 This was a spur of the moment scheduling change to get a game in. PFloyd - You need to take in a Caldwell game to check out sophomore Bede Lori. He's been playing national AAU since 3rd or 4th grade and has played against some of the best players in the nation, inc...
Re: Region 27
Sadly, you’re right about that. To not have East Knox in there, that’s crazy. Obviously we know Marion Local will be the ones that come out on top, but my second pick would be East Knox and third would be Lima Central Catholic. 100% agree about LCC. When they get back to full strength, watch out. T...

Re: RD 2: John Glenn (4-3) @ Warren (6-1)
I have no horse in the race, but do know both teams. Warren will keep the game close early but JG will pull it out in the second half. They seem to have a better team. I do agree that they do have a much stronger schedule of opponents than Warren. MVL is a very tough league. IMO John Glenn 28 Warre...
Re: Region 27
As a lifelong Caldwell fan I can say that watching a competitive football team this year (even though it’s not been in person) has been nice. I think they have something like 12-13 seniors and a few good sophomores. Saying that, I still don’t think we’re in the upper echelon of the region. We were r...

Re: OHSAA Update July 7th
Getting the test isn’t the issue, it’s getting the results. If you actually read the OHSAA order it says all kids and coaches participating in a contest have to have the results for a negative Covid test in hand and it has to have been done within 72 hours of the contest. It’s taking non-emergency c...

Re: East District- Sectional Finals #1 Bishop Rosecrans v. #2 Hiland
Props to Hiland for making a big statement. Doing that just commands respect. Cake walk to regionals now As Coach Corso would say, “not so fast my friend.” Malvern is currently 20-3, a loss at Hiland that they held a double digit lead in while playing without their best player, and a pair of blown ...

Re: Caldwell vs Waterford Regular Season 2/21
Listened to this one on the radio, sounded like a football game on a basketball court from what those guys said. Caldwell is dangerous right now, Ty and Wharf said they are 12-10. They played a rough schedule and their 3 best players are freshmen and sophomores. Will be a major player in the east di...

Re: Fort Frye (12-3) @ Caldwell (7-8) 1/28
Cadets survived they def struggled shooting the ball tonight. Refs really let them play. That last part is the understatement of the night. The only fouls called were charges. Fort Frye was physically stronger and the way the game was called definitely benefitted them. There was more contact in tha...

Tusky Valley has a big game at home this Friday against Malvern,TV was upset big time against Tusky Catholic last week, with the loss puts TV two games behind Malvern for the IVC North division Same TCC team lost to Caldwell. Re: Caldwell 57 @ Fort Frye 63 Final
The battles between these two next winter are going to be must watch! From the games I’ve watched Caldwell strangely goes how the Kowalsky kid goes. When he’s rebounding and finishing like last night they’re hard to handle. Kid is 6’4 and his legs are spring loaded. I thought the difference in the l...

Re: Caldwell @ Fort Frye (7-1) 1/10
I’m glad I made the drive down 339 tonight, some Jukebox pizza and as good a basketball game as I’ve seen in a few years. Both teams really battled all night. I was impressed with Bede Lori, as someone mentioned above not forcing things, handling the Fort full court pressure and playing a great floo...

Re: Caldwell @ Fort Frye (7-1) 1/10
Caldwell has 3 really good players but they’re freshmen and sophomores. Has to be the youngest team around, they have no seniors and the 2 juniors they play are role players. The other good freshman Dudley is out hurt. They’re fun to watch and have really improved but teams that young aren’t consist...

Re: 2019-20 Diaper Dandies - Top Freshman
Caldwell has a special freshman in 6’3 guard Bede Lori. He had 29 in their opener and only played about 3 quarters of the game. Not sure how good they’ll be, I think they start 2 freshmen and 2 sophomores but I know they’re talented.
