Re: Gallia Academy

What's the deal with all these kids that were born and raised in Gallipolis leaving for South Gallia? I'm not sure I see the benefit.

Love him or hate him, I think Coach Eddy had the program headed in the right direction before he left for Parkersburg South as well.

Re: Logan applies to the Licking County League

I know it's straying from topic but a lot of people think VC is the reason warren isn't in the TVC. I just want to point out that our super who had been in that position for many, many years, retired 3 years ago. 1 year before the last vote occurred. Just pointing that out. Vinton County wasn't the...

I agree, and I don't think that is the only reason. Anyone who was around or cares about Warren leaving the TVC 30 years ago is either in a nursing home or dead. There is more to it than just a 30 year grudge.

Re: Logan applies to the Licking County League

If the Licking County League does extend an invite, Logan would be crazy not to go. A division that consists of Logan, Zanesville, Licking Heights, Watkins Memorial, Big Walnut, and Newark would be exactly what Logan needs for their student athletes. Great competition, decent travel, and schools al...

Re: Point Pleasant (WV) to the TVC or OVC? SEOAL?

I still see the remaining SEOAL teams as being pretty much stuck. They are too far to travel to for other schools of similar size. This PVC big school expansion talk seems to be much ado about nothing, and I'll believe Logan in the Licking County League when I see it. I've said it before and I will ...

Re: The Best way to kill all thoughts of TVC expansion

Gallia had 220 boys and 181 girls at last enrollment count. Poo Bear is correct. They are on a steady decline in numbers and will probably be very close to a division 5 school in the near future. The TVC would have probably been a slightly better fit for them because of close rivals like Meigs and R...

Re: Point Pleasant (WV) to the TVC or OVC? SEOAL?

The Athens administration has set their school up for postseason failure in my opinion, and yes I know they had a great run last year. The savior Joe Burrow is gone now, and so are his giant receivers. The talent during those years was ridiculous. They were basically too talented to fail. It wasn't ...

Re: Point Pleasant (WV) to the TVC or OVC? SEOAL?

I don't think you can consider Warren a big school anymore. Their enrollment has dropped big time over the last few years. Warren Logan Jackson Athens Marietta That is the logical conference for our area of similar size schools I'm sure Bulldog fans get tired of their names being brought up but the...

Re: Point Pleasant (WV) to the TVC or OVC? SEOAL?

Exactly! The TVC is a d4/d5 league. The SEOAL is d2/d3 league. We have all watched as most of the communities in the southeastern region of Ohio have shrunk. Almost every school in the immediate area is now classified at d4 and under. This has left only a handful of schools that are still qualified ...

Re: Point Pleasant (WV) to the TVC or OVC?

The vibe seems to have changed in six years. Seemed pretty positive back then. http://www.southeasternohiopreps.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=65013 That was back in 2009. The TVC has had to deal with 6 years of Athens since then. They ruined the chances of Point Pleasant or any other SEOAL type...

Re: Point Pleasant (WV) to the TVC or OVC?

The SEOAL should target Point Pleasant, Marietta, and Parkersburg South. Adding both the Parkersburg schools would be a mistake in my opinion. They are both larger than any area school including Logan. However, I do think the league should look at the smaller South which I believe would be the equiv...

Another long shot could be the OVC adding Point Pleasant and Jackson then splitting into two divisions. Re: Point Pleasant (WV) to the TVC or OVC?

Point should look at the SEOAL as opposed to the TVC or OVC. If the SEOAL could get Marietta to come back as well, all the sudden you have a nice little 5 team league with Logan, Jackson, Marietta, Warren, and Point Pleasant. Realistically Athens should be part of setup like this as well, but they d...
