Don't think so

If the count stays around 16, I doubt if he'll cut. There have been times he's had 23 or 24 kids. He had to cut then.

16 reported tonight

Hoppy had 16 report for drills tonight. Hoppy said he called the paper a few days ago about Monday's organizational meeting, but it still hasn't been published. Maybe he will wind up with 19 or 20. That's what they've been averaging at the level.

Team scoring record?

Locos...You might check your records, but I believe Logan has set a team scoring record in a seven-game league schedule. I know Wellston held the mark for years, but I think Ironton broke it in the mid or late 70s.

Change is good?

Superblue...You say sometimes change is good? You mean if we have change, we'll go back to being the doormat of the SEOAL every year? That's what it was for 11 years before Oz took over the program.

John Ecker?

You must mean Johnny Ecker, former GAHS grid and baseball coach in the late 60s and early 70s. He passed away three or four years ago.

Your're right, bassmaster

You are right, bassmaster...Oz came here to start the 1969-70 campaign, and got the GAHS cage program turned around after 10 or 11 years of dismal last place or second division finishes in the SEOAL.
