Re: Week 1 - Monroe Central vs. Columbiana
His legs cramped up. As did half of the team. I don't understand why we always have to deal with cramping. It wasn't a hot night, and Columbiana I think had one kid cramp up. At least 5 of our starters were out because of cramping at different times in the 4th quarter. Technically Kinchen did return...

Re: Week 1 - Fort Frye @ (Hannibal) River
River will have kids go D1 in college in back to back years but likely won't be .500 in either season.

Re: Week 1 - Monroe Central vs. Columbiana
who cares if they run the veer. Not like the veer is automatically unstoppable. If Columbiana has the same players as last year which from what I'm reading they do, then they are big and slow. Shadyside's speed ate them up last year in the first round of the playoffs. We're not as fast as we were la...

Re: Week 1 Monroe Central vs. Columbiana
Kinchen is now at QB. Look for him to be a 1000 yard rusher and passer. He won't be a DLD, but he'll get better as the games go on, and will be a very good QB. Noles better win one of their first two. Lots of Harbin Points available. After that there will be a couple good points games but maybe not ...

Re: Week 1 - River Valley @ Federal Hocking
I was in Woodstick today, to pay homage and respect to the mother/grandmother of the most famous football family in Woodsfield/Monroe Central, Callista Louise Habig. Mom - God rest your soul, you were the matriarch and one of a kind. I love you and all of your kids. You will be missed in the Woodsf...
Re: PVC 2010
I heard Kinchen did pretty good in the scrimmage, but nobody could catch the ball for him. He said there's a lot to work on to get where the Noles want to be. Didn't go myself so that is second hand info.

Re: CORPORATIONS / HIGH SCHOOLS
If it means kids are provided with the necessary facilities and it is something the town can be proud of, AND my taxes don't go up as a result, then I have no problem giving naming rights to corporations. I would say that in most cases the benefit of naming rights for a company at the high school le...

Re: Division 5 Region 19 in 2010
What is everybody's early predictions to make the playoffs. Here is mine in no particular order. Monroe Central Oak Hill Ridgewood Fredericktown Wheelersburg Liberty Union Nelsonville York Minford I would think Oak Hill and MC would be the favorites with all they return. Don't count out the defendi...
Re: PVC 2010
Monroe Central has lost a lot the last 2 seasons in Hogue,DLD,and Habig. They always seem to reload tho and barring injury they should win the league. Maybe you mean Headley because Cole Hogue is only a junior this year. Noles fans are eager to see Tyler Kinchen at QB, but I think they need to be pa...
