I expect SV will win this match, but their weakness is going to be their strength of schedule. THey didn't play any SOC II schools this year. Not sure how many teams with winning records they beat, so their record might be decieving.

I don't know the ND boys well enough to know who was in when, but it was pointed out to me in a PM that the seniors played the first quarter and outscored Clay 19 - 7, and the underclassmen played the last quarter and got outscored 21 - 10.

I heard Manchester lost to Fairfield again. Wasn't it speculated that they purposely put off that game in fear of losing and dropping down in the seedings. Makes you wonder now.

I had been told they were having more success with the younger squad, and that is your next years team. So start the seniors but put your best team on the floor to win. They almost pulled off the "upset" with what they had on the floor. Not sure what changes they made from the first match ...

On a side note, the girls teams from these two schools play at 1:00 pm at Northwest Highchool.

On the plus side for them is they stayed consistent all night. Had they changed to calling touch fouls at the end, Clay would have struggled to comeback.
BTW, did Milani play? Was his father taking pictures?

I believe these two teams played preseason and played pretty even. Both teams were missing a starter at the time.

Rocky, What number was the Bussler kid? I would have never guessed anybody in this game would have had 27 points after watching the game. Bussler was #3. He had 27, Burchett had 11, Graham had 7, Valentine had 6, Porter had 5 and Delotell had 2. That my unofficial tally, but it does add up to 58.

Was the Minelli boy out? I was hoping his Dad would get some more great photos, but I didn't see him tonight.

Now that Burg has won the SOC outright, it's hard to argue against Stegman. This was supposed to be a down year for the Burg, and yet they found a way to win, and I think that has all been built around "Stegasauras".

Maybe i am wrong, but I didn't think the AD's hired the refs directly. I thought they were assigned to games. i know of a situation where the father is a ref and the daughter is playing. from what I can tell, he usually goes out of his way to make sure it doesn't appear to be biased.

Good luck to SV. They are another team, that as I remember, wasn't predicted to be on top this season. They made the most of what they had and put together an impressive season.
