Re: WAVERLY HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL PARKING
I can not believe all the CHEAP A??? If the monies are used for athletics improvement such as turf replacement or equipment I would be willing to pay $2.00 to park! This is why we are refer too as radical southeastern Ohio crackers! So you are OK with taking money from the district for educational ...

Re: WAVERLY HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL PARKING
You don't have to pay for parking at Waverly or at Jackson. There's plenty of places to park and walk yourself on into the game. For Waverly there's places along the streets to park where you'd actually be walking a shorter distance then parking in the lot. For Jackson, you can park down below the ...

Re: WAVERLY HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL PARKING
I can't believe it. You guys would go to an OSU football game and pay (just guessing) $50 for a ticket. Or a Bengals or Reds game, where the athletes are millionaires and you would pay $3, $5 or $10 bucks to park. And you would pay $6 for a beer and $3 or $4 for a hotdog. And you are griping about ...

Re: WAVERLY HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL PARKING
Waverly had to use general fund money to finish paying for the turf, completing the field house and entry ways, adding to the visiting bleachers, pay for paving the parking lot, putting in wooden bleachers in both the old gym and junior high gym, paying for a "safety coordinator" who has n...

Good night, schools around here are working on skeleton staff, and this school can drop 85 grand on a parent coordinator!

Re: Great question brought up by area's best coach
Absolutely nothing you can do about the officials in the southeast district. They call the game like they do, and teams must adjust. The Ohsaa isnt going to throw money at the issue, because to them the SE district is the red headed step child no one wants to talk about.

And then you have a teacher who played college sports and has been coaching for 10+ years and being AD at the same time and the new board says, nope not now you are not! lol Being a teacher does not guarantee you a supplemental over a non teacher any more! lol

http://miami.cbslocal.com/2016/01/30/legislation-looks-to-pave-way-for-florida-high-school-free-agency/ This will soon happen here in Ohio, and the only losers will be small public rural districts with not a lot of talent around them allowing them to build championship caliber teams. This isnt publi...

Re: Lynchburg Clay vs. Cleveland VASJ - D3 State Semi
Good point fc, it's not so much private/public as it is the haves versus the have nots! So many factors go into successful sports teams that schools can't control. The biggest seems to be proximity to large urban areas and ability to attract or dissuade enrollment.

Re: Will Unioto leave the SVC?
Let me see if I have this straight, 5 members of the SCOL wanted Jackson, the other 3 Clinton county schools did not. So these 5 schools leave the SCOL and tell Jackson come with us to start a new league, or lets just ask the SVC to add us! lol The most stable league in this area now gives away 6 vo...

Re: Will Unioto leave the SVC?
Unioto does not dominate in every sport, but they are consistently near the top year in a year out. They are not so dominate they need to leave, but I can see where they might want to leave. I just hope their administration doesn't mess with perhaps the best ran league in this area just so that they...

The basic transfer bylaw is quite simple. If a student transfers at any time after the fifth day of the student’s ninth grade year or after having established eligibility by playing in a contest (scrimmage, preview/jamboree, Foundation game or regular season/tournament contests) until the one year a...

Re: Chillicothe leaving scol after 2016-17 season
Why wouldn't the SVC take this opportunity to expand into big school/ small school. It would solve Unioto " dominating" the league. I feel like this opportunity is just hanging out there for them. Once you open the expansion door it cannot be shut! The SVC was formed in the early 60's wit...
