Re: Enrollment Numbers
You know why our state legislature made this rule, to weaken public schools and republicans number one enemy, public unions! We pay taxes is another battle cry I hear private whiners spew all the time! You pay taxes for a lot of things, yet don't scream when the county doesn't fix a road, or when th...

Re: Enrollment Numbers
Lol, that's all I hear from private school supporters, "publics don't own the kid!" Yet, here we are, they have an obligation! I don't care if publics have to spend 1 cent on a non enrolled student, that is too much for someone who doesn't feel the education isn't good enough, but give me ...

Re: Enrollment Numbers
The OHSAA website says the new divisions for fall sports will be posted April 8. I am sure the biggest complaints will come from the big city schools where "alternative school students" will distributed among all of the schools. Basically if a student is home schooled or goes to a STEM sc...

Wow, put up rules on a powerpoint on the wall and you to can win a Paper Tiger State Championship! lol Thats like saying the country of Vietnam with a little over 5 million members in its military should invade Russia who has just 3 million in its active, and reserve units! It would be an easy victo...

Re: Little League Approach - Old School vs. New School
Frontal lobotomies for every parent out there that thinks there 14 and under kid is the next Lebron! That would cure a lot of the problems! lol In seriousness, balance is the best thing for everyone, sports, life, etc. The varsity coach is the best place to start, he or she needs to make it clear th...

Re: Being A Coaches Kid
My dad was an assistant football coach, varsity basketball coach and assistant track coach when I played. Trust me, I didn't get any favoritism, nor did I get ripped at home. Once I left the locker room, I was just his kid again! Never discussed anything at home, except for nutrition, hydrating etc....

Re: The importance of junior varsity basketball
Any coach that ignores the health of their program from the youth age through varsity, isnt a very good coach! Yes, you can still have success by ignoring these levels, but the consistency and participation will suffer. Jv, is the final level of polishing for a player to hone their skills before get...

1% go on to the next level, so you think a rule should be in place that 99% of kids won't have to ever worry about because you won't be entertained? Please do basketball fans a favor and start liking soccer!

Re: Shot Clock in High School
For fans in Southeast Ohio clamor I got for a shot clock, you might as well say goodbye for a shot at a state title ever again around here! The talent is already behind the rest of the state, and the one thing that gives teams from around here a chance is solid ball handling, selling out on defense,...

Re: Southern Ohio Football
No reply, facts are facts, kids from stable households (could be 1, 2, or more parental people) tend to do better academically and athletically. I am sure baseball16 didn't demean these kids or parents, he or she is simply making a point. Being an educator in a district here in SEO, I could write a ...

You have 12 football playing schools, SOC I Notre Dame 48, East 59, Green 73 boys, Eastern 75, Symmes Valley 95, Oak Hill 152, Northwest 157. SOC II Valley 128, Wheelersburg 147, Minford 175, West 184, Waverly 217. You can only move 1 football school up to SOC II and that is Oak Hill. You cant have ...

That was fcfan that said that, sorry. As for living in a bubble and burying your head in the sand, I have said over and over again, socioeconomic factors greatly affect school attendance, school performance, which translates to kids not participating. 68 out of 120 kids, 60% of NC kids play football...

I don't care if privates recruit, they have to get kids in the door! nCgreen says that being exclusive hurts their ability to attract students, but isn't willing to see that they are still able to get kids and make deep playoff runs! A school with approximately 120 boys, has 68 kids in the team, wit...

If you truly believe that all you have to do to win state championships by banning pee wee football, getting rid of soccer and stopping transfers, than I have some ocean front property in Death Valley I would like to sell you! Those are factors, but what those coaches don't want to discuss, but one...
