Re: Cambridge Summer League

Waterford lost by around 10 to Sheridan and then lost by about 15 to Warren last evening. Warren defeated Union by 30 and Waterford by about 15. Meadowbrook beat Warren in overtime last week. Rosecrans looks to be a very good team up there as well.

Fairfield Union OYB from last weekend

The high school division of the OYB at Fairfield Union was filled with 3 very talented teams among the field. The Southern Ohio Flyers, Ohio Valley Predators, and Team Force were all there. Team Force (from Lancaster area) was the biggest of the 3 teams and defeated the Predators 68-65 in pool play ...

Re: Southern ohio flyers

This team met the Ohio Valley Predators in the semifinals of the Lancaster tournament in what turned out to be a great game. Predators led by 9 at the break, but Flyers scored first 9 of second half and game was tight from there. Game tied at 60 at end, when Flyers got fouled and made two free throw...

Warren 63 Marietta 48

Marietta came out hot early and led 13-5 before Warren closed the gap and eventually led 31-27 at the half. The second half saw a much better Warren defensive effort and they shut down the Tigers and slowly pulled away to win by 15. Luke Drayer led the way with a nice 20 point, 9 rebound effort. Cha...

Re: Caldwell (10-2) v. Warren (10-2)

This game was totally different than the first meeting. The first meeting was a very slow paced, defensive grind, with both teams struggling to score. In this one, the Warriors got off to a hot start and also kept the pace of play much faster than the first meeting. The Warriors had a chance to tota...

Re: Fort Frye 50 vs Waterford 39 Final

Going in to this matchup I was fully expecting it to be a good, close game and one that Waterford could actually win. However, after watching the first few minutes, it was evident that the Fort Frye defense was way too good for Waterford to generate open looks on offense. Yes, Waterford did struggle...

Re: 1/5 Warren at Athens

Warren jumped out to insurmountable 48-16 halftime lead. Athens outplayed Warren in the second half, but not enough to overcome such a big deficit. Warren was led by Dennis with 22, Weihl 17, Drayer 13, and Gandee 11. Athens had Lutz with 13, Nick Lutz with 9, and Rogers with 6.

Re: [=== SCORES ===] Tuesday 1/05

Lutz had 13 points, only 4 in the first half. Warren's Luke Drayer did a great job following Lutz all over the court and Warren used a team defense approach to limit him. Lutz is incredibly gifted with the ball, quick, with very good stop and go moves. You have to have more than 1 guy to contain him...

Re: Fort Frye 54 @ Warren 68 Final

Warren came out and played really good first half defense and led 30-20 at halftime. Warren's Kyler Dennis guarded Fort Frye's Anderson and did nice job. Anderson was scoreless in first half. The second half started with a nice Warrior run and lead went to 20. It looked like the game was over, but F...

Re: DII - FINAL FOUR - AT THE CONVO!

Losing Dennis is a factor for Warren because it hurts the depth of the normal rotation. Seth Hall is definitely an equal replacement but it changes the depth of guards. Dennis was in double digits 7 of the last 8 games before the sectional final. Warren's bench has been great all season and I would ...

Re: Warren @ Bishop Watterson 12/23

Well said WarriorBlue. The game up there in central Ohio is called differently than down here in Southern Ohio. The physicality is hard to get used to when the game is called differently. Like you said, not in favor of Watterson, just different in general than what Warren is used to. The first half ...

Re: River Valley Coaching Search

I am guessing they will end up with a first time head coach. If it is a young coach it could be a career killer for them.I don't really understand why this school isn't more successful at sports. It is not just basketball but all sports. This leads a person to think maybe coaching isn't the problem...

Coach Howell and the Rebels are moving in the right direction. Get another year under those young ones and watch out. They could be very very dangerous.

I thought this thread was about the RV coaching search and "I don't have an answer" for that question......RV is RV and you never know who will be coaching.....im not a teacher and that puts me down the list......I think Lynn Sheets would make a good coach and would love to be a part of h...
