Two points from the Logan Daily News that cements my thoughts -- 1. Travel was used as a reason , yet tiggers only travel to the North for FB, Boys BB & Girls BB. No other sports travel to the North . 2. On top of that, tiggers do NOT field Boys or Girls soccer, wrestling or girls tennis. I'm we...

Sure glad you guys love to shoot your mouth off. It would be a boring off-season if not. Fortunately, the SEOAL is going nowhere and no one in SEO is looking to meet up with members of the current SEOAL in a new league. Now the tiggers may run , but who cares. They just found out the league no longe...

Frankly, it Ironton leaves, they won't be missed. They fail to field all the sports in the league, they made long trips for most league members already here and their whiny fans are classless since they've been exposed. They offer limited competition and fewer sports teams. I agree. If Ironton wants...

That merger of leagues is under way in NE Ohio and the jury is out on the idea. While competition improves, it causes other problems--travel distance, breaks up rivalry games and cheapens the league chanpionship since it now a division of a league championship. Also, teams are subject to re-assignme...

The poor sports are at it again ?? Everyone in the league knew that travel would be part of the league, for all sports. The funny part is, Ironton doesn't even field all the teams that the other schools do, meaning the other schools have more sports expenses than the tiggers. Yet, they took the rive...

Hilltop

For the Gallia Republican Party, a gross of Trojans to remind him of all the fun in life he missed out on. A bigger sourpuss will never be found.

To 2old, my little black book. A guy as ugly as him needs all the help he can get.

Local coach's assn. puts on two in the area-- Warren/Trumbull County & Youngstown/mahoning County. The college coaches are here in huge numbers. Used to go down & mingle. Lots of contacts made that way and kids do get offers/recruited.

I'll agree with 2old. Major kudos to Logan, ZHS, Chilly & Marietta as stepping up and putting a challenging schedule to their athletes, forcing them to grow. Taking a chance on losing games in order to grow, get better, try to run at the title and be prepared if playoffs come. But Jackson & ...

Excellent point , 2old. While some folks are happy playing in the D-IV play-offs, the big boys in D-I & II play-offs make your level of competition laughable. Y'all wouldn't even come close to matching up with the EIGHTH SEED. Or which is better -- the Rose Bowl or the Toilet Bowl ??

Hilltop -- Probably true !!! However, you know what I'm talking about. This region is the worst in the state for playing weak schedules and ACTUALLY ducking competition. Note, I already said if you have no talent, a tough schedule won't help you. Its the places who do have some talent & do NOTHI...

You better believe it. Win or lose, it will challenge the players. Competition makes you better , if you have talent.

Heres a novel thought-- if schedules didn't matter, why are tough teams playing in the Herbstreit ?? Why play in holiday tournaments with tough teams ?? You poor rednecks have been out of the loop for so long, your brains are functionless. If you have no talent, a tough schedule won't help a thing. ...
