Re: SOC II Player of the Year
I still think Howard's defensive efforts are being dismissed. I think the way he has played defensively, along with his offensive accomplishments puts him at the top of the list with Miller. No doubt, Miller's offensive numbers are special... He's a darn good player! Burg's offensive style is going...

Where did Howard go to school/play ball last year ?dirt_cinders wrote:Miller may have the stats --- Howard the leadership.
I do wish they had a player of the year. When you look at what Arnett does on both sides of the ball it is very impressive.
He has taken a beating this year at running back and line backer.

Yea they are and the reason is other than Minford, Wheelersburg and Coal Grove they played a bunch of VERY weak teams this year. They need to schedule some Irontons, Bishop Hartleys, Gallia Academys, etc. You're Tiger Bait wrote:both squads should be extremely proud, but valley is 10-0, for a good reason.

Re: Week 9 Warren (2-6) @ Portsmouth (1-7)
I attended one of Portsmouth's games earlier this year and when their bus pulled in, #34 and #67 was hanging out a back window of the bus with a joint in their mouths... there was the definite aroma of marijuana coming from the bus. They must have had several joints on the bus and passing them aroun...

The Tartans need to kick away from and keep the ball out of the hands of #24 for GCC. He is fast and a punishing runner.

Re: game of the week Oak Hill @ Symmes Valley
I found something that I thought was fairly remarkable about Ironton's schedule. They are averaging 22.6 Second Level Points per win thus far. I was unable to find any other team in Divisions 2-6 with an average as high. That's due to the higher division (but much weaker) Kentucky teams they play a...

Ironton might have ran up and down the field, but sure didn't dominate that game. Take away the fumble for a TD (Burg player did not have possession) the pass interference against the Burg on 4th down(not a lot of contact) and the non PI call against Ironton in the endzone(Drrabbitt has the pic) an...

but i do agree that your schedule should have been a good one when it was set up. who knew it would be this bad. Its not a matter of "coulda" woulda" "shoulda" on the schedule. Fact is they are beating 1-8 teams and bragging like they beat the Chicago Bears. There competiti...
