Re: Coaching opening
I have heard rumor of West possibly dropping girls soccer. Hopefully this is not true, that would make 3 girls teams dissolving in the past couple years (Peebles and West Union were the first two) I would apply for the position before letting that happen. The numbers were always good enough to fiel...

I was just wondering if the West girls job is open or not. I haven't heard anything about it, but I think the coach wanted to retire. I have heard rumor of West possibly dropping girls soccer. Re: West vs Burg 12/9
First real test for both teams. This first game could answer questions about West, still on the mend getting healthier as time passes. By the second meeting, I would say they will both be the area's best 2 teams by far. GO WEST!!!

Re: SOC Girls Preview Schedule 11/12/21
Don't forget about South Webster, they were not available for previews due to them playing into the final four in volleyball.80sballer wrote: Mon Nov 15, 2021 9:44 am Anyone have all the results I didnt keep track. From what I saw Burg and West looked the best in SOC II and ND and SYmmes Valley in SOC I.

I was told the previous coach is now returning. I'm not sure if there were many applicants, but I'm sure of at least one.

Mr. Newberry and his sons always were very nice and a huge help to me from my playing days throughout my coaching career. I doubt we will ever see that sincere and caring service again. RIP Howard, you will be missed.

Just curious why you said that.LastOut wrote: Fri Apr 02, 2021 9:11 pmBurg has a solid program and are very well coached. West has talent but not playing at all up to their potential. Big difference, Burg hires coaches, West hires teachers.

Re: Girls Soccer scores 9/7 thru 9/12/20
With only a few minutes left in the game, West had a 1-0 lead. Unless I saw it wrong, a Northwest player kicked the ball out of the grasp of the West goalie (actually trapped to the ground) and the Mohawks scored. If I'm wrong, someone please enlighten me.

Re: SOC2 2020-2021
I'm wondering why Northwest is being ranked so low? Is it just because of the youth, or am I missing something? I think Scarberry came back for a reason, as did Persin at Valley.Big Blue Nation wrote: Fri Jul 24, 2020 11:28 am 1. Waverly

What happened to the basketball pro?? Fultz not good enough now??? "Cute", I'm pretty sure I know who you are. I understand the frustration of working with a program through hard times (little talent) and not getting to see it through the (experienced and talented) good. I also know what ...

Re: Summer Shootouts ? Where? and When?...
But how about the schools who are without head coaches and staff? This is a circus of administrative decisions. Don't get me wrong, most, if not all districts are clueless on what they are going to allow coaches to do at any point. Summer time is prime time, but the days are clicking off one right a...

Her coach would have to nominate her for the award before the other coaches can vote for her so the coach does have some control. I'm curious how you know her coaches didn't nominate her. Were you in the meeting? I don’t know if her coach nominated her or not, I was just saying you have to be nomin...

Re: 2020 SOC II
Baseball was a beast when ALL, or at least several of the area coaches were working "together" to make the sport competitive. I know it's probably not going to happen, (maybe) but if they all met on a monthly (at least) basis, I think the entire area would profit from it. Unfortunately mos...
