Re: Weight room turn out
How many football players does Minford have on their team? Are the 90-100 lifting part of their Lifting team? Does that number maybe include any female athletes? Kudos to Minford if they have near 100 kids coming our for football. Not trying to say it's not possible, but for a small town to have tha...

Re: Best Back at Nelsonville-YORK EVER!
I would have to say that Gail was the best... he had the power and size to have gone beyond the DI level... does anyone know I heard he was 2nd in the State in rushing his senior year to Charles Woodson who was a pretty decent player... I'm sorry but even though the rest were great backs no one comp...

Re: Who will have a good freshman team this year?
Johnstown-Monroe's freshmen were undefeated as 8th graders (as well as their 7th graders) and should be pretty talented next season.

Re: Do you think spring sports benefit football players?
I agree that more kids should be involved in more sports... especially at the small school level... However because baseball plays too many games (up to 27) in a 6 week period, most baseball players in most baseball programs do not get a chance to work out at all. At the end of the season players fe...

Re: Do you think spring sports benefit football players?
If the spring sports (baseball, lacrosse, track, etc.) has a lifting program in place that is legitimate then I think the football players should definitely play a spring sport... unfortunately in the long run most springs sports DO NOT have a legitimate strength program and some baseball programs, ...

Re: 2008 Cincinnati Reds
Saw they sent Bailey down to AAA... he'll be back. The Reds have one of the most exciting young pitching staffs coming up in the league. Also, I read on ESPN that they feel the Reds have had the best spring training in all of baseball!!! Go Reds!

Re: Article about the College Basketball Invitational (CBI)
If I were a basketball coach with a young team I'd love the opportunity to play in any tournament and compete with unfamiliar schools. At the very least we would get a few days or even weeks of practice in!

Re: Ohio State vs. Florida State
Maybe OSU women prefer to go on Spring Break or something... I mean how many years in a row has it been that OSU plays so well in the regular season only to be a bust in the tourney! Come on ladies! People would watch the OSU ladies if they would win some games in the NCAA tourney!

Re: Old fashion football
"Old Fashioned Football" or "3 Yards and a cloud of dust" wins football games, but doesn't get the interest of some of the fans who think that what they see on TV is "easy" to do. The colleges and pros that we watch on TV make it look as if an average high school team c...

Re: 3.12.08 YOU MAKE THE CALL
I think that I would continue to run my offense with that much time left. As a play caller I would look at running plays I feel confident are going to get 6-8 yards at a time. I would run "hurry up" style of offense and find a way to call plays from the sideline or run two plays in a row. ...

Darby Riley is the man... I'm sure you could take the shirt into Coach Franks and he'd have him sign it.

Ace - I'm down with you having fun and I'm not saying that the Browns haven't had their issues as well, but it didn't seem to me that you were just having "fun". Maybe it was the Bengals helmet or whatever it was, it seemed like you were making fun of our team. Cleveland has loyal fans who...

Re: Browns Are At It Again
Most of the guys that the Browns got are not that old. With the roster size being so limited I think that the Browns will have time to keep rebuilding the Youth on their roster. The Browns aren't old at all. I wonder what their average age is?

Re: Quinn or Anderson?
HEY , Vinny is still open !!! Time to grab him . Save lots of money !!!!! He could be the browns qb again . Hey Ace, I think David Klingler and Akili Smith are still available... maybe you guys can get one of them to take over for Palmer!! I also heard that all the U-Haul's in Ohio are unavailable ...
