I would tell them... that a VERY small percentage of players earn an athletic scholarship, have great grades and get academic help... that there is A LOT of talent in Division III football, kids should be proud to just play college football... and finally to explore ALL options, but there is nothing...

The 4-4 defense is a great Defense... it is balanced and can become any defense you want... you can play any coverage you want... the issue comes with being able to adapt and teach the defense against different teams or offenses... On offense it's not what you run it's how well you execute it... all...

If you go back to the early 80s... Taggart from Nelsonville-York has to be one of the best... AND he led them to a state title!

Never seen him play. I did play against Justin Gail. How does he compare to him? Size, speed, & production. Arnold does not quite have the size that Gail had... Arnold is a great player, but it's not his fault that Gail played a lot better talent when NY was DIV and the TVC Ohio was a lot tough...

Boston at NY always has a lot of pressure to win... 6-4 is a losing season to the Nelsonville York faithful... but with the new stadium everything sure does look good!!! Go Bucks!

Buckeyes could win the league and lose all of their non-conference games... I think the season all comes down to week 1... If NY loses to Trimble they would have to pull an upset against Berne Union, Piketon, or Ironton to get in... 7-3 may not be enough to get in and 6-4 definitely not going to get...

With 23 Seniors I'd have to say Nelsonville should beat Trimble... Go Bucks! We need to revert to the 90's when we dominated the Cats all decade long... Watching the highlights of Brady Trace getting so frustrated after 13 sacks and like 5 interceptions and a couple of fumbles in '97/98 was sweet!

That's far and away from the 80-90 kids that they had in the weight room, but 57 kids is great for DV football... congrats to Minford and good luck!

Talbert is definitely a good athlete and with Arnold behind him they should have a potent backfield. I believe Barrick (Sp.) will be their QB again... not too sure about the linemen they have coming back or that will be stepping up, but it has been a while since the Buckeyes have had a dominant line...

Both Gails were MAC talent... Justin went as a preferred walk-on to OU (due to academic issues only I believe) and Jason unfortunately was in a serious car accident his senior year. I think he may have been heading to Kent State or Akron. If not I'm sure OU would have taken him as a D-lineman. TVC s...
