Re: Division IV Southeast District Tournament teams/records

Does anyone know exactly how the voting went? Everyone is speculating how it went, but does anyone know for sure? Everyone can say what they want but if they do not know exactly what went on it that room at the Draw then all the speculation if for nothing. I would like to see some facts on who actua...

Eastern should be the favorite, but ND is playing much better. Could be a very good game. Good luck to both teams.

Re: Mid-season POY SOC I - SOC II

My vote in the SOC 2 is either Ondera or Harrison Martin from Waverly, he is a stud. SOC 1 could be a toss up. Maybe Thornsberry from Eastern, they are 1st in the league so that gives him a boost. No one else in the league really stands out right now. Tibbs has had a decent year, but nothing special...

When did the starting point guard get suspended? I caught the game with Notre Dame and everyone was there for that one. Did this happen for the Rock Hill game?

Re: Valley @ Northwest 1-6-10

Is this game still a go for tonight? With no other games in the area I may swing by and catch it. Have not got a chance to see Valley yet, but I do remember them from last season and they should be very good.

Re: east and green

Have yet to see either one of these teams in a real game this year. However, I did get a chance to watch East at the preview, for what that is worth. East is gonna wanna make it a track meet. Based on what I remember from last season, I dont know if Green can run with them. I look for East to take t...

Re: "We played Hard"

Although it is a bit repetitve, the phrase should be said by every coach every time he or she talks about their team. Playing hard should be common place but all to often is not.

Re: Jr. High basketball programs

Waverly has a very nice 8th grade team. Got to watch them scrimmage against Western. In the same scrimmage, Westerns 7th grade beat Waverlys 7th. Western has a very nice group of 7th graders. As for 8th grade, I know in the SOC 1 Notre Dame has the best team in the league. They went undeated last se...

Re: 7TH GRADE BOYS BASKETBALL.

Western has a good 7th grade team. They have already scrimmaged Waverly and beat them. Good team with alot of depth. If they keep working hard they should be special.

I have to put Aldridge and Thoroughman up there high on the list. As for the SOC 1, what about Cocenhour?sp from Eastern and Jeremy McLeod from Western.. They have to be up there.

Re: SOC 1 09-10

cbaseball33, How has Clay been doing in the summer league that they are in? I know they played at Paint Valley on Monday, and I believe Western was also supposed to be there? Any clue how they did as those three teams are in the same sectional so it should have been a good indication as to where the...

Re: Western Indians Coach

If you reread my post, I said that I feel that once the game is learned then players should be allowed to compete. Once they have learned the basic fundamentals of the game and a basic understanding of basketball then I feel playing in some games is fine. Not necessarily punishing those kids that ar...

Re: Western Indians Coach

CP- For those kids that have already developed into decent basketball players, then some competition can be good. Notice that I said SOME. I still believe that the focus should be developing the fundamentals of all of the kids. The competition and playing in games is only allowing the better players...
