Re: Warren @ Portsmouth, 1/27
Chillicothe should be everyones measuring sticks,,they are the only ones that has won the big game in the last few years,,Portsmouth ,I think, won it last in 79?,Chilly last year, not sure when Warren last won a state title, but all 3 teams are capable of makeing a run this year. Like you said,I wou...

Re: Warren @ Portsmouth, 1/27
SEOAL titles are nice, but if I was looking at something I would like to have more, it would be a Div. II district/regional championship, and beating Chillicothe doing it! Chilly is Warren's measuring block when it comes to basketball, not Portsmouth! Just sayin'!! Lol.....Chillcothe is Warren's me...

Re: Portsmouth Trojans 2011-2012
I learned last year to never count the Trojans out! I can't believe Portsmouth isn't getting more votes. It may be that Ironton loss holding you back. Since you play again this week, that sitution can be rectified. All I know is that the regional final two years ago was Ironton-Peake, last year was...

Re: SEOAL Rankings as we head to 2012 (My opinion)
Amongst the top three teams, who play each of the others once more, the edge must be with Portsmouth who have both at home, with Warren one home and one away, and Chilli with both away. I'd been saying this all along.......I knew Chilly would later have their rematch at Portsmouth and that Warren h...

Re: SEOAL Rankings in my opinion after week 1 of play
Portsmouth, Chilly and Warren all have what it takes to win at home or road versus each other. Right now Chilly in the hole a bit, but a win at Warren or Ports and it's game on.....and all must avoid the Jackson upset, Chilly survived at Jackson already. Nobody has proved that yet but Portsmouth......

Re: SEOAL Rankings in my opinion after week 1 of play
I'd imagine it has to be Portsmouth's to lose at this point, being that they played all the "consensus" contenders on the road thus far. Warren still has to play Chilli twice, and make a return visit to the team they beat by 4....this time at Portsmouth. But it's still relatively early, so...

chesapeake played without mcmasters....my understanding is he was out with an eye infection???? at full strength, I imagine chesapeake wouldve won.....if u take any teams best player out, they would have a greater chance of losing to a quality opponent....but credit to Logan Elm....and hats off to ...

Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio Week #2
Week 3 Elite 8? #1 Ironton (Pfloyd will go with Chilly) #2 Chillicothe #3 Warren Local #4 Logan Elm #5 Chesapeake #6 Portsmouth #7 Huntington #8 Peebles....may add a second #8 in Unioto I can pretty much agree with the top 2, I don't have a good feel for exactly how good Chesapeake is so I can't de...

Re: Portsmouth @ Chillicothe, 12/20
......we're capable of beating chilli but its easier said than done....defense will be key, and hopefully we put our best foot forward. Seemingly lots of question marks still remain with this squad. We've just come up short in two tough road game environments. On the road at Chilli has been a thorn ...

Re: Final: @ Warren 61 Portsmouth 56
A few things for those who didn't see game.....freethrows would've nullified any type of bad refereeing! Plain and simple, Warren made their free throws, Portsmouth didn't! Despite the refs giving Warren extra time in their huddle out of timeouts--->in other words, PHS would call timeout, and out of...

Re: Portsmouth @ Warren, 12/16
This should be a good game to take in! I'm rolling with TrojanDave for this one. Last season when the trojans made the trip to Warren, we played one of our best regular season games of the year....it probably will take another valiant effort by the Trojans to come out with the win.

Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio Week #2
A little touchy jgordon? Collins has done a phenomenal job since the beginning of his tenure. On paper and expected Portsmouth is #1-3 IMO, but incredibly early on I'd have them at #5. Pfloyd has them all the way up at #4. IMO from the outside of both teams....Warren is very much clicking on all cy...

Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio Week #2
I'd go Warren over Portsmouth thus far. yeah right??? guess we'll see....we play em soon Portsmouth is not clicking completely and Warren has been very hot. I could definitely see Portsmouth winning and maybe by double digits....but Warren's year in and year out toughness and consistency with Coach...

Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio Week #1
Ironton to much for Portsmouth at home? Or was it a case of three games in five days and the Trojans didnt have thier legs? I would say I-town was too much. Fletcher sat out most of 1st half and White did not even play. Imagine what it could have been! Fletcher sat out most of the first half....Dio...
