Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio -Week 9
Well, the 2014-2015 Trojans WILL be #1 I have to disagree....2014-15 Bulldogs from Athens will be number #1. Start three juniors, a soph, and a freshman this year and they are 1b. They have so much potential. No question they come back fully loaded and will have the number 1 spot to begin the seaso...

I gotta go with the hometeam. Trojans prevail. Valley hasn't lost a regular season game in two years, am I correct??? It's about time...

Re: Portsmouth 2013
So what's the latest?? Anything noteworthy about our beloved Trojans? Any noticeable differences in coaching philosophies between Coach Clifford and Coach Sparks? Don't know if it's worth mentioning but I had a chance to witness the Trojans during camp earlier in the offseason and the practices are ...

Re: Warren Warriors 2013-2014
How did the boys look in the classic last week Warrior? Missed Patton 4sure but a couple younger kids got exstensive playing time and I feel played their way into possible playing time this winter. Sophomore Luke Drayer and Freshman Kyler Dennis stepped up this summer and showed that both can contr...

Re: Portsmouth Trojan's Next Head Football Coach
For what it's worth, I do know that A.J. Pratt was at the Ironton Classic to watch the Trojans hoops team and he was enquiring questions about the athletes that we have in the program and asking what we thought about the potential of us getting back to respectability. He also asked about some of the...

Re: Final: Warren 45 @ Portsmouth 31
Did Sky Oliver not play? He was not listed in the box score. Crazy thing about it, Sky couldn't buy a bucket, yet he was by far our best defender on the evening. He played some of the best on the ball defense anyone will see all year on number 3 for Warren. But offensively, we need a lot of work......

Re: Warren @ Portsmouth, 12/14
from a neutral observer the top monster head is patton. it also wouldnt surprise me to see portsmouth beat them . They are weak at guard and dont have a true 4 or 5.No one on the team can put the ball on the floor and blow by you to the hole. Warren is long and theyve got several starters that can ...

Re: Warren @ Portsmouth, 12/14
I am sure this game will be a typical tough contest with a proven Portsmouth squad. Go Warren Warriors! It'll be interesting to see how the Trojans respond after garnering a little confidence in a close loss to Ironton. Warren is the prohibited favorites to win the SEOAL this year, however PHS can ...

Re: Who is the most animated coach on the sidelines ?
It sure wasnt intentional and I was loud mouthed teen at the time ... I was 1 year out of school and still a rabid Gc supporter ... we were playing at GC and I dont remember why I said it but I hollered at him " show some class coach" and he immediately did a 180 , looked at me about 3 ro...

Re: Who is the most animated coach on the sidelines ?
as a fan I once got into a verbal confrontation with Suboticki while he was on the bench at PHS and I was in the stands . back in the 80's the clash's between PHS and GC were rather large ... lol .. Sub could coach the game for sure , didnt necessarily like following the rules but a great motivator...

Carter huge for the trojans tonight . Burg is offensively challenged and has no height whatsoever . Interested to know how much better the trojans played tonight than the opener at SW . Burg is disadvantaged in size for sure, but the real problem is that the starting guards COMBINED for 2 pts. The ...

I'm guessing you're referring to A.J. Pratt.....I heard he's the one they want......we'll see..... ...and who are your sources? A friend of mine said he was talking to the A.D. and my friend mentioned that Joe implied that "they" (well at least Joe) is really pushing for A.J. Pratt. Howev...

Re: Portsmouth Trojan's Next Head Football Coach
Greg hasn't coached at a public school but he grew up in one ( Portsmouth) and knows how things are here. He has also only been a winner. He is also I would assume one of the few if not the only coach to have coached at a professional level (baseball stregnth and conditioning). He has a proven trac...
