Re: Montgomery and Kayser the best duo in southeast ohio
Everyone has an opinion, I’d take the miller, spradlin, cougil, salyers team over any of the ones mentioned, didn’t some of those teams play each other? Miller would have been a freshmen or sophomore when Gagai and Waginger were at Ironton. Spradlin might have been a freshmen or 8th grader. They we...

They would be towards the top I would assume.AnkleBraces wrote: Tue Mar 18, 2025 6:30 pm Noel and Maughmer
Current starters at Wright State and Liberty.
If they aren’t the best duo ever in SE, I think they have the best trio when you add Beard.

Re: Montgomery and Kayser the best duo in southeast ohio
I would say I have not seen a player like Kayser in a very long time! Kid can do almost everything. Plays non stop no plays off! Myles is definitely a very good point and leader, I knew he would be a stud when I seen him play Trey Robertson as a freshman, and gave him all he wanted and maybe then s...

Re: Montgomery and Kayser the best duo in southeast ohio
Aldridge would put up 25 with shoemaker and Kayser double teaming him Yeah, I believe most didn't see the Aldridge play. Not to mention Burleson and Holden from Wheelersburg were better than Kayser by a mile too. I would have loved to see this Minford team have to play the Ironton and Chesapeake te...

Re: Montgomery and Kayser the best duo in southeast ohio
Aldridge would post Kayser up for 35 any night of the week. 3 inches taller and every bit of 80lbs heavier probably. Myles would be at Duke or somewhere if he was 6’3 He wouldn’t because Shoemaker would guard him in the post, Aldridge game was mid range. Aldridge would put up 25 with shoemaker and ...

Re: Montgomery and Kayser the best duo in southeast ohio
Miller spradlin burg both D1, a pretty good duo Yes they were. I'm not trying to come across as the Minford guys aren't good, but we are talking duo's that were just better imo. No offense to Minford, but the Ironton team from 05 was far better than Minford. They gave OJ Mayo and Bill Walker all th...

Re: Montgomery and Kayser the best duo in southeast ohio
Hands down. I know the SE district faithful always mention the few teams who have won the state as the “best” etc. idc who you are, South Webster in 06 wasn’t beating that LE team today. Oak hill in 09 wouldn’t even come close. What Bennett and Myles did today was what they’ve been doing for 3-4 ye...

Re: FAIRLAND (2) vs. WHEELERSBURG (7) 2/25 @ Waverly Downtown Gym
Handshakes should be at the beginning of ball games and after the game No shakes. Too much emotion at the end where it takes 1 or 2 people to get something started! We can’t just keep altering and making societal norms easier and easier every generation. We sure can. We did it during COVID, we waiv...

Re: Names of high school courts/gymnasiums
I responded to the comment about recruiting and I said at Reedsville so whoever this Norm is I don’t know him. Far as I know if that guy you’re talking about coached here there ain’t no way he recruited as good as my man. If that’s the new coach name we’ll have to see how good he recruits but no on...

Who is Norm? You replied to my post about Norm Persin. Hence why I don't understand your response. Re: Names of high school courts/gymnasiums
Wer’nt nobody could recruit like my man. In his heyday at Reedsville he had players from four different schools playing for him. Who else can say that? He’s the best. I'm not sure what this means? Norm never coached at Reedsville to my knowledge. Who is Norm? You replied to my post about Norm Persi...

Re: Names of high school courts/gymnasiums
Yeah that Oak Hill team was pretty good. Were any of the players actually from Oak Hill? I know Nerm was a he11 of a recruiter back in the day. Probably his best aspect as a coach. Does he still recruit as well? Chesapeake was an open district, so I don't think it was difficult for anyone who wante...

Re: Football/Soccer
Sounds like there is definitely a problem with the facilities there where one sport has everything and the other has nothing. If I had a boy/girl with a team playing on that field, I would be raising my concerns or filing a complaint with the Office of Civil Rights if those are truly the conditions...

Re: Football/Soccer
I can only speak on Ironton soccer field. I’ve seen multiple games there this season. The field is terrible. Creek runs right beside it. Balls often went into it. Small bleacher. I know a coach who won’t come to play at ironton due to the condition. No lights, no locker room, little seating, conces...

Re: Names of high school courts/gymnasiums
“Howie’s Nest” in Reedsville and “The Howie Dome” in Glouster. I believe both have been officially named and he has been the most successful coach at both schools and it’s not even close. Is Howie the only coach to have gym’s at two different schools named after him? Is there a better resume than N...
