Re: NCAA In or Out?
If Michigan wins their first round game, they are in. Out of conference wins vs. Duke and UCLA, in confrence wins vs. Illinois, Purdue, PSU, and twice beating Minnesota. If they win at least once in the BT tourny, then they finish with at least 20 wins and a 10-10 conference mark. That is good enoug...

Re: Peake and Westfall
Am I the only Chesapeake fan a little upset that Cheapeake lost to an opponent that we were supposed to beat?
Chesapeake was a #1 seed and lost. To me, that is not a good thing.
Two years in a row Chesapeake has lost in the district semi's, something has to give.

Re: Rank the Coaches...
Good Sunday evening to you all. Avalanche, there is no hiding behind screen names or being an "a$$" as you so eloquently put it. When you ter down anyone because they are a "buddy league coach" or anything other than a success dependent upon your standards, I consider those peopl...

Re: Michigan signing class of 2009.
I am not as big a Michigan fan as peake, but I do visit a board or two. If I read correctly, the Forceir family is very respected much like the Boren family. They say Tate is the showman of the group, but by all accounts he seems like a good kid. I read an article that asked Tate why he didn't parti...

Re: Rank the Coaches...
I agree panthersnaps. I saw other people pointing out coaches other then head coaches they respected, and I pointed out someone who helped make the Chesapeake program better. Jim Rome (the real one and this guy) have no class. It is easy to be an a$$ and hide behind a computer screen name, but Cball...

Re: Great showing by UM-OSU players in SB!
I didn't follow a word you said. Holmes was very good, but Rothlesburger was the one scrambling making plays when the pocket colapsed, etc.
Lamar Woodley is a freak. He will be one of the next super stars.

Re: Chesapeake a #2 seed???
Is their any logic in putting Chesapeake ahead of Ironton? They have a better recor, so if you are going on that, you should have Alexander a head of Chesapeake. Ironton beat Chesapeake head-to-head, and plays a much more difficult schd, no way Chesapeake goes a head of Ironton. I haven't seen Alexa...

Great win for the Peake. I shouldn't have doubted the Panthers.
Chesapeake has 3 losses if memory serves me correct----North Adams, Fairland, and Ironton.

I am confused on the Persin ranking. I would say he is close or past 600 by now. He was a 500 wins in what 2004 or 05?

Re: Rank the Coaches...
I've always thought Bryan "Cannonball" Wells, was a coach that never got credit where it was due. If I recall he had several undefeated JV seasons, and if there were JV OVC titles, he never lost one in his career. I played for him and he was an exceptional motivator, who does an excellent ...

Re: Rank the Coaches...
Discredit? He is being crownd the almighty because of lack of talent. How many "great" basketball players have come through the Wheelersburg, Ironton, and Chesapeake programs? I bet you could count on one hand for each one. There is no way to distinguish that Van Metre gets more out of his...

Re: Rank the Coaches...
I played for Norm Persin back in the 90's, and if you don't want your son to learn the game from him, then I would love an explination. I have a lot of respect for Barrick, Oz, and others, but to continue repeating how much Van Matre gets the most out of his players is rediculous without mentioning ...

My senior year at Chesapeake (1999) we beat John Marshall, who was #3 in AAA in WV, 102-42 give or take a point or two.

Re: Rank the Coaches...
To be ranked I feel like you need to have accomplished a considerable amount in your career. Barrick is an obvious, Oz, Norm, but I am not going to include young coaches untill they accomplish something substantial. Nothing against anyone's rankings, but there is a difference in a young coach like P...

Rank the Coaches...
Name your top coaches in SEO.... 1. Barrick, Wheelersburg-can't deny the man, he only goes to state like it is going out of style. 2. Norm Persin, Oak Hill- Has to be the best coach not to get to state. Hang in there coach, it'll happen sooner or later. 3. Osbourne, Gallia-This man has brought up so...
