Re: Trimble Hires Howie Caldwell as next basketball coach
There will be some that don't like this hire. Some in the Trimble community that feel they should have hired from within. I feel it's better to hire outside mainly because these hires have no ties to board members, teachers no family in town, so no pressure to play kids with a certain name. Phil Fa...

Re: Coach Howie Caldwell
Plus it would be good for the current coach to learn how win a game in the regionals Maybe he can teach the current coach how it’s more important to end the game with a couple of timeouts in his pocket than it is to win the game. 😂 He could start by explaining to Thompson that recruiting players an...

Re: Coach Howie Caldwell
Heard from a really good source that Howie is interested in FH now that they are D4. Would they take him back?

Re: Logan Elm - Coach Stiverson Steps Down
Bozo, you said it best - Coach Stiverson/Coach Holbert/Coach Dropsey created/ran an outstanding "program" ... success is the benchmark of any program ... LE had it - success - Coach Stiverson's "program" is one that I personally use as a barometer to compare ALL programs in SE O...

Re: 2023 Ironton Tigers
Man it is a bummer that Wheelersburg doesn’t have school board elections, given the vast majority of their community would prefer to end the open enrollment policy. Maybe one day the people of Wheelersburg will rise up and end this injustice. Also a bummer that the only place this can be discussed ...

Re: Logan-Hocking Times announces Kevin Dunigan as new Sports Editor
Ah the Radio Man! He also had a 1 year stint coaching at Federal Hocking. Hopefully it will go better than ESPN Radio did   Actually that was a great gig. I was fortunate to interview some great people. Former Buckeye greats Archie Griffin, Katie Smith, Jim Tressel, Chris Spielman; ...

Re: South Webster - Head Coach
The parents and kids of this day and age wouldn’t be able to handle Norm’s demanding coaching style. So true! Today’s sensitive and entitled darlings would crumble if a Persin or Barrick got up in their grill yelling at them…. And Mommy would come out of the bleachers if it happened! For sure. Toda...

Re: Reedsville Eastern 10-0
What does the schedule look like? I don’t know who Eastern has but the Hocking is going to be down again. Waterford will be decent and hopefully Trimble can put something together. If Eastern is going to go undefeated in the league this would probably be the year. It will be embarrassing for Trimbl...

Re: Meigs Football 2022
Word on the street is the HC's dad is coming on board this year and father son are having secret meetings among themselves. Danny did a great job at PC so this could be a good pick up for Meigs if it's accurate. From what Ive heard they plan to unveil all the changes sometime in the next few months...

Re: Wellston Football
The question for Wellston is, what now? Can they attract a quality coach now that this mess has happened? Do they know how to go about hiring a successful coach? Do they care? Or is it all just a power trip by whoever is in power?
