Re: West @ South Webster 1/29 80 -35 JEEPS

Yea old fashioned, and no one on here talking about the refs bad calls and having to play against burg and the whistle's.lol Way to go Webster team effort dropping 80!! If you're referring to my comments on the West vs Burg game, your right. No one on here is talking about the refs or getting homer...

Re: West @ Wheelersburg 1/28

By far the worst officiating game I've ever seen in High School. 3 of te 5 West starters had 4 fouls in the third quarter. West jumped on them early Bolton was on fire. Ratliff was holding Stegman in check, then come the fouls. West couldn't touch a Burg player, but Burg almost had to tackle a West ...

Re: West 47, Minford 40

W0W. Great job guys! And without Auger? Too many players quitting, I know Kyle had the tooth broke, and I under stand that. But we only have 1 senior playing minutes on varsity, and only 2 juniors getting time. I feel Bailey should be getting some minutes also. We might need to step back and look a...

Re: Tuesday night scores (Dec 21st)

Any score on Portsmouth West at West Union tonight? West lost 57-48. West was up 44-42 in the 4th. Auger drove the lane made a lay up, and drew a foul. Or that is what everybody thought. But the very inexperienced officiating crew called a charge. About 20 calls later against West, it was 57-48. OH...

Re: Portsmouth's-Dion McKinley/K'Rye Allison

I know that you are only allowed 4yr. of varsity sports in Ohio. But why wouldn't K'Rye be playing on the 8th grade team. If he is capable of playing on the J.V. team? No rule against that. Good luck to Coach Collins.

Re: South Webster @ West 12/10

Not the 30 pt win some of u were predicting. And the SW starters played the whole game, or had at least 3 on the floor at all time. And SW was still pressing with under a minute to go. I think West is playing better, but still do not have a true scorer. Still a work in progress. We'll get better.

Re: Portsmouth West @ Notre Dame 12-3-10

I would be surprised if any teams didnt lift during the season. The players lifted during the season when i played. That was a long time ago. So i dont think lifting has much to do with the struggles at west. In years past some of their best athletes didnt play hoops. They only play football. This ...

Re: Portsmouth West @ Notre Dame 12-3-10

The problem with West football players. Is that they only play basketball, during basketball season. I know that most teams in our area have alot of football players, playing basketball. Very few of the football players even stop weightlifting during basketball season at West. This is just one of th...

Re: Portsmouth West @ Notre Dame 12-3-10

West got in foul trouble early, I think we only had 8pts. and 10 fouls. I thought refs were alittle more critical of Wests players. But Notre Dame played lights out in the first half. They came ready to play, and executed their plays very well. They also shot very well from the freethrow line. S.O.C...

If, Turner doesn't get hurt, we're not having this discussion.
Give me Turner now, Wall could end up better. But right now I don't see how you could not pick Turner. Just my opinion.

Re: West basketball, just another season!

Yes, West basketball fans can be fair weathered. But there was the girls jr high game at South Webster. (congradulations girls). And several pee wee tournaments, that was going on. So some parents had to split up, support both children, as in our case. But I do believe attendance will be up the next...

Thats what it looked like to me. The player who took the elbow left the game, and didn't play no more.
