How in the world does a writer justify voting dayton chaminade #1, knowing that Hartley is also in their division and dominated them. So bad

That's a bad excuse, but you're for sure right. I subscribe to the DDN, so it wouldn't surprise me..

AP polls are just opinions like all of ours. The points system is the best true evaluator we have for regular season but come playoff time conference affiliation and SOS usually win out even with losses during the first ten games.

Thru Wk#7 Statewide:

D3 - AP: Jackson (14th) / Eitel: Jackson (9th)
D4 - AP : Gallipolis (5th) - Waverly (10th) / Eitel : Waverly (11th) - Gallipolis (15th)
D5 - AP : Ironton (8th) / Eitel: Ironton (9th)
D6 - AP: Trimble (3rd) - Fort Frye (6th) / Eitel: Fort Frye (3rd) - Trimble (5th)
