No because Nelsonville hasn't played a football game since 1967.....

NY has lost 10 playoff games in a row and is looking to break the curse of a generation. Since the playoff expanded to 8 teams per region, NY is 0-9 in the playoffs.............granted, only 3 of these teams would have made the playoffs in the first place if the playoffs never expanded to 8 teams per region.

2000 - @ Ashland Crestview - 13-14 L
2003 - @ Monroe Central - 7-9 L
2004 - @ Amanda Clearcreek - 6-43 L
2005 - @ East Knox - 28-35 L
2006 - Columbus Academy - 21-55 L
2008 - Liberty Union - 14-15 L
2010 - @ Minford - 6-27 L
2011 - Portsmouth West - 12-18 L
2014 - @ Valley - 6-14 L

And here is the record when NY regularly won playoff games......

1981 - Coal Grove (@ Ironton) - 14-12 W (Regional Championship)
1981 - Wheelersburg (@ Ironton) - 14-0 W (State Semi Finals)
1981 - Otsego (@ Groveport) - 34-16 W (State Championship)
1982 - Crooksville (@ Lancaster) - 20-13 W (Regional Championship)
1982 - West Jefferson (@ Lancaster) - 14-22 L (State Semi Finals)
1992 - Ironton (@ Portsmouth) - 0-14 L (Regional Semi Finals)
1994 - Coshocton (@ Zanesville) - 41-6 W (Regional Semi Finals)
1994 - Wheelersburg (@ Portsmouth) - 7-28 L (Regional Finals)
1997 - Wheelersburg (@ Lancaster) - 41-14 W (Regional Semi Finals)
1997 - Bellaire (@ Zanesville) - 6-39 L (Regional Finals)
1998 - Valley (@ Athens) - 21-14 W (Regional Semi Finals)
1998 - Wheelersburg (@ Portsmouth) - 19-61 L (Regional Finals)

Playoff history:

Zane Trace 2-6
Nelsonville-York 7-14

Both ZT wins came last year against TVC schools.

You'd think a wee cat fan would know this after the butt thrashing his kittens were handed this year.

I think it will come down to if Mount plays. If so they will win by multiple TD's if not it will be CLOSE!

I think y'all are getting too worked up over this one. Relax. I haven't watched NY play but judging from their schedule, they should be fine. Remember ZT went undefeated last year and went to the Regional Finals and had it handed to them. They don't play a tough schedule and the only quality team they played slaughtered them. Stick to fundamentals and play sound ball and this one will be won handily.

Mount won't be playing. He's more than likely played his last game at NY......
I got faith that his teammates will pick up his slack and win. You can't replace 1597 yards but with Andrews, Edwards, Wilborn toting the rock I think NY gets the job done.

Ny rallied when mount went down..It made Ny spead the ball around when that happened athens couldn't keep up with the athletes we got..actually i think it helped to open up the play book..
