Fort Frye 44 Centerburg 6

Post by EasternDspy »

Both teams will come into this game with the it's best group of SRs ever. Centerburg Trojan Srs have won more games then any group ever at the school. They have made 3 playoff appearances. In 2014 they lost in the regional final. In 2013 they lost to another PVC school Monroe Central.

Fort Frye Srs have also broke school record in wins with a reg season record of (35-5). They just finished a 22 game reg season win streak. They also have made 3 playoff appearances. They lost to Fredericktown at home last year a team that is in Centerburgs league.

I think this will be a lot closer than most on here will think. Can't call a winner but I am rooting for Ft. Frye.

This has to be the year the Cadets win there first playoff game. Cadets have really struggled with extra points all year I say go for 2 every time. Even if you only make it 50% of the time that's equilvent to 100 % Pats.

Going to see a battle of 2 great backs in Jacob Rings Centerburg and Casey Lewis Fort Frye.

Casey Lewis 1478 yards on 136 carries 10.8 a carry. Also has returned multiple kicks and punts for Tds. He either has 31 or 30 Tds.

Haven't seen Centerburg play but based on comments I've seen from others about the team, if Fort can get a couple
stops they should win

Cadets should have a nice size advantage in this one.

I'm going with Fort Frye on this one as long as they don't come out sloppy. I think Fort Frye is the better team, but I will also state that Centerburg seldom turns the ball over and usually takes advantage of opponents mistakes.

Cadets come in with a pretty good offense and good defense. They had 4 shutouts only allowing 9 points a game. The offense scored 44 points per game never scoring less then 31. Cadets won every game by 17 or more. Like I said they do struggle to kick PAts.Might of missed more then half this season.

Fort Frye has not even had to use its full offense yet.I think now that it's playoff time you'll see some new things.

This is big for Huck he always beats the team's he is better than but when teams are even he struggles to get it done. It took a bad call last year against Caldwell to get that win. Every other team in the PVC has won a playoff game before but who knows if we will.

It also took great coaching to call the 2 big plays he's used to win that game vs Caldwell. Fort Frye Srs have got so much better from last year. This is a much improved team. I agree talent has carried them a lot this year. A ton of the Cadets touchdowns have been basic plays where they just beat the other team. The offense has shown little bits of new things or key old plays in the last 5 weeks. I think in this one the use the whole playbook and come up with a huge win.

Brady Carpenter and Garrett Lochary on Friday will become the first ever players at Fort Frye to start 3 playoff games. Lochary has been a stud only Sr to start every game (35-7). At Corner in 42 starts I think he's only giving up 4 Tds. Sterling Armstrong of Centerburg could be a tough matchup for him as he's huge 6-3 220.

Cadets Rise up

I'll go with Fort Frye 31-21.

I'll credit this win to their tough scrimmages.

Go get em!
