West played with 10 men the second half. Two whistles, two cards for West's sweeper. Both questionable. The game was really close until that call.
Sorry to disagree with you, but with Minford up 2-0 at the half is not a close game against Minford. With Gullett in goal along side with Tolle, Higbee, Coriell, and Patrick playing defense: these guys have only given up 9 goals in 13 games (0.69 GAA). I am sure Minford felt at ease up 2 goals. Their defense is definitely their strength.
The point was that the ref went straight to the card on both fouls when the kid had zero cards the entire season and zero fouls in the game besides the two cards. Neither foul was vicious and a majority of officials wouldn't have carded either. If I remember correctly, 3 of Minford's 4 goals came with him off of the field (he was on the bench for the first yellow on one goal). To top it off, he tossed a fan complaining about the first card, when the guy hadn't caused any problems. Jumping the gun on stuff like that makes for poor officiating.

You do have a point about Minford's defense though. West was able to penetrate the back line a few times and had a shot off of the crossbar, but they held their own. It's not hard to see why they're one of the best teams in the area.

Coach Keeney just put his resume in for Coach of the year. Lost 8 starters from last year and exceeded everyones expectations.

Great win for Northwest and much deserved. Wheelersburg seems to be going down hill.4-0 loss to Webster, 4-2 loss to south point and then 2-0 loss to Northwest in their last 3 games. Potentially could be 5 in a row with Minford on Monday and Waverly Tuesday.

I couldn't agree more with Northwest coach for coach of the year but if Minford goes 8-0 that certainly gives Gampp at Minford an argument for the award.

Logan Boys receive the #23 seed in the central district out of 46 teams. Yeah, make sense of that, btw they are ranked #10 in the D1 state poll!

They will play the winner of Groveport or Mount Vernon. And also, they got the shaft, if Mount Vernon wins, which they probably will beat Groveport, Logan travels there. Mount Vernon is 13-1-1.

Completely understand the frustration, but SE teams don't get any respect in the central district. And honestly, we haven't earned it.
But Logan is 13-1-0 and has an opponent record of 58-100.. which is not good. Logan boys just have to use it as motivation and try to go win a few games. Earn the respect.

Same thing happened to Chillicothe a couple of years back. I think they went 16-0-0 and were somewhere along the #20 seed in the Central District.

We (as a district) have to make some major moves to earn respect from the Central District and until we start to win some of these games, it isn't going to happen.

I think Logan had something like 5 or 6 wins against Central district teams this year.
