Jackson 64 Warren 13
Jackson 64 Warren 13
The Jackson Ironmen will host the Warren Warriors at Alumni Stadium on Friday night. This could quite possibly be the last meeting between the two schools since the SEOAL will be ending after this season. Warren appears to be much improved from a year ago, but is still looking to build their program back up. Jackson played pretty well at Wheelersburg after a rough start last week, but the Pirates pulled away late, leaving Jackson's playoff hopes on thin ice.
As I mentioned before, this is the farewell tour for the SEOAL, and Jackson is looking to win its 25th SEOAL Championship in football. With only three teams remaining in the league, the title doesn't mean quite as much as it used to, but this group of Ironmen will be looking to finish things out the right way. Jackson will finish the season with five straight home games, so hopefully playing in the friendly confines of Alumni Stadium will allow them to run the table and make a push toward the playoffs.

Re: WK6 Warren (2-3) @ Jackson (3-2)
Jackson will win. Game will be close for a quarter. Final 35-7 Jackson. Warren will be motivated with two winns but won't be able to hang with the Ironmen. Look for Warren to spin down now and end up 2-8. Tough last 5 games. IMO

2 league games doesn't really make a convincing league champion lol

I knew they were looking at possibly adding more teams and I hadn't heard anything about a name yet.ironman02 wrote:Starts next year. Jackson, Chillicothe, Miami Trace, Washington Court House, Greenfield-McClain and Hillsboro.Orange and Brown wrote: Any news about the new League?

Gotta go for 2/2 in the next two weeks! Warren and Logan are both struggling, but Jackson needs to play well.MeyerSpread wrote:Jackson wins the SEAOL this week!

Doesn't this league have Clinton Massie, Wilmington and East Clinton in it as well?? Are some teams leaving or is this a case where the conference is being divided into 2 divisions??ironman02 wrote:Starts next year. The five schools that are forming a league with Jackson decided to leave the SCOL. Clinton-Massie, Wilmington, and East Clinton have joined the SBAAC, and that conference is doing a realignment. The new conference with Jackson and the former SCOL schools will have a new name.greygoose wrote:

Ironmen win big, Coach Hall airs it out and pounds it out, a get well week for Jackson.
Re: WK6 Warren (2-3) @ Jackson (3-2)
I know I've mentioned this a couple times in the last few weeks, but tomorrow night could potentially be historic for Coach Andy Hall. A Jackson win would make him the all-time wins leader for Jackson head coaches with 64.
This is Coach Hall's 8th season at the helm, and he has led Jackson to a record of 63-20 (.759), 2 undefeated regular seasons, 4 playoff berths, and 4 outright SEOAL championships. He also has a record of 4-4 in the post-season.
2009: 7-3
2010: 9-2 (SEOAL Champs, Regional Quarterfinalist)
2011: 11-1 (Undefeated Regular Season, SEOAL Champs, Regional Semifinalist)
2012: 5-5
2013: 6-4
2014: 11-1 (Undefeated Regular Season, SEOAL Champs, Regional Semifinalist)
2015: 11-2 (SEOAL Champs, Regional Finalist)
2016: 3-2 (Through 5 games)

Good luck to the Ironmen tonight and to Coach Hall getting his record for all time wins.
Pretty strong winning percentage (76%), winning almost 8 out of 10 games is darn good, and from looks of it over the next few years it will only get better.

Hard to argue against him being the most successful coach in Ironmen history. And that's quite a feat.ironman02 wrote:I know I've mentioned this a couple times in the last few weeks, but tomorrow night could potentially be historic for Coach Andy Hall.
