Wheelersburg 38 Jackson 13

Last time the ironmen invaded Ed Miller stadium, they walked away victorious. Last year burg repayed the favor. Both teams seem to be playing well. Thoughts on this one?

Jackson fans are being very humble this season. Super young team , who are getting better each week . Will be an uphill battle .

Could be a very close game. Jackson has played a tougher schedule thus far and could be the difference, especially if Burg throws picks like they did today.

Well this game may have been made a lot more interesting based on Jackson's game against Western Brown. Western Brown really gave Jackson fits early on with their playmakers, in the 2nd half the Jackson defense really clamped down holding them to 6 points in the 2nd half. Where I think things get interesting and we'll see how Jackson handles it moving forward is on the offensive side of the ball. First 3 ball games of the year Jackson seemed to be leaning on the passing game compared to years past. Even in the 1st half Friday night they'd hit a run here and run there but would find themselves going back to the pass at times where I thought they really needed to stick with the run. #20 for Jackson had over 100 yards rushing at half. Jackson proceeded to come out after halftime and utilize what was working best and that was the run. Believe I seen where Farley had close to 250 rushing for the game and Jackson leaned hard and heavy on the run. Could be a turning point in the Ironman season to establish the identity they've been looking for.

Western Brown really exploited Jackson through the air, granted several of the catches there was excellent coverage but plays were still made and there was assignments blown that lead to big plays. This has the makings of a game that could be quite the scoring affair, Jackson played clean ball against Western Brown think just the 1 turnover on an errant pass. Right now though Jackson probably not quite ready for Burg and I'll take Burg in a close one but could easily see Jackson taking this one if they continue to build off of Friday nights 2nd half.

Personally, I feel like this game could go either way. It depends on what burg team shows up. If our oline can get a ouch and allow our backs to run the ball... I think burg wins. If our line gets beat... Jackson may make it interesting. Burgs defense is fast and will give Jackson fits.
