Caldwell 28-14 Big game for Ivey. Caldwell has to stop the pass to win this one.

I don't think this Caldwell team has what it takes to win in Woodsfield.

I'm going to take Monroe Central 35-14 in this one. Regardless, best of luck to both teams!

Is Monroe Central a lock? Good survivor team?

I wouldn't say a lock. However, with Jay Circosta at the helm in Woodsfield, they're typically hard nosed, physical, and do a lot of the little things right. Gaydos at Caldwell is unproven. Just from that perspective alone should seal the deal. I would give it an 80/20. 80% Monroe Wins. Caldwell lost basically everything, including their head coach, and Monroe's schedule would be brutal for anyone. 3-0 Union Local (who could finish 9-1 or 10-0). 3-0 Shadyside (which could go 9-1 or 10-0). Then River, who is also 3-0 (they could also go 9-1 or 10-0). If Monroe is looking for a victory, it needs to be this week because after this, they play Fort Frye (loss), Magnolia (loss), (Shenandoah 70/30 game in favor of Doah), Barnesville (most definite loss; Barnesville is a top three team in the region), Frontier (win), and then Buckeye Trail (loss). So, if Monroe is going to get a win, it needs to be this week. Both schools are reeling, though.

Caldwell will win this and it won't even be close. Is Monroe Centrals quarterback even playing? With him they would lose but without him it will be a mercy rule.

Caldwell still has some really good player with Ivey, archer, Allen and shuster all being 3 or 4 year starters. They played better last week against shadyside. After the trail game I wasn't sure they'd get a win. They went to almost a wishbone look last week with #7 at QB, he's a soph but I can't think of his name. Before that they were playing 4 different kids at QB. I think Caldwell will win this game, Monroe is bad

Hopefully Waverly will be over looking Caldwell next week otherwise it's gonna be a longer bus ride home than it already is gonna be. Caldwell won by 5 scores last year, Waverly will name the score this year

It's so hard to win in Woodsfield. The last time Caldwell won there was in 2014 with a loaded team and it took overtime and one of the greatest plays in Caldwell history potentially for the impact it had. Caldwell has more talent and skilled players in a game for the first time this year but the coaching disparity outweighs it. Caldwell is going to run Ivey all night long. Monroe is going to throw it all over the field. Don't know if either can stop each other but I say MC 40-27 based on Caldwell getting flagged on some big plays.

I don't think my Noles have what it takes to stop Ivey. 28-20 Ivey

Caldwell won't be able to stop the pass, Noles won't stop the run. Potential to be very high scoring.

Apparently it's not so hard to win in Woodsfield this year.
