They may or may not be a better matchup than the 1-3 teams but they will be one tough out and your offense better have some others step up
Careful what they wish for

I think you'll realize Athens is a little better than Waverly when we play you in a few weeks, I92. Assuming Butcher is reinstated of course.

Can I get a parking pass, btw? Lol

I’ve paid for a lot of different people’s parking but too many cheap shot from Athens. Sorry

Ha!

Only bad thing I've ever said bad about Jackson is that they cheated us on the gridiron in 1989.

and i know i will catch some heat on this
butt compare Unioto and Sheridans schedules and teams they both played which team has better win which has worse loss
just my opinion

If i'm Coach Hoops thats what i'm selling And the Shermans are Healthy again
who exactly is Sheridan's bad loss? How many teams have you seen from Sheridan's schedule?

Sheridan lost to Fairfield Union, ( not a so called bad loss)
Their other loss is to Tri-Valley (13-5)one could argue that isn’t a bad loss either. How ever Tri-valley did lose to Maysville (8-9).
On the opposite side of things, I would think that Tri-Valley is also Sheridans best win

never said they had a bad loss. both played Fairfield Union
Sheridan lost at home by 4
Unioto lost at Fairfield Union in overtime at the buzzer by 1 but will not bring that up again
Unioto then splits with Zane Trace who has all 5 starters back from a D2 regional last year
who is 15-3 its like comparing apples to oranges both teams are good just think Unioto has better resume at this point things
could change in the next week the both have 2 games this week 1 home and away its going to come down to which coach wants to play what team in a possible district matchup and who is your Friends as a coach will be interesting to see how they all vote

D-2 for Athens regional is a Gauntlet. Only 1 team getting to Athens.

I notice you didn’t mention a 9 point loss at home. The FU game could have gone either way for both teams so that’s a wash. It’s hard to compare teams like Tri-Valley who was D1 last year and played several strong D1 schools from the central this year to a team like Zane Trace. I think most coaches are gonna look at wins and losses first and foremost. Not much difference in the top 4-5 teams IMO. It’s funny how last year Sheridan was run down in these conversations because of their lack of success in the Tourny in the past, but this year there is no mention of past tournaments.

Yeah, that's a weird one to forget when comparing "resumes"

Did good last year!

Sheridan is that secret team to many of us SE District people. What I know is....pretty darn competitive across the sports! Some impressive athletes and things are simply ...well done. Basketball schedule is not impressive or unimpressive but the record and watching scores show a top level team that’s in this mix at the top where it’s difficult to separate.

Right now it’s irrelevant. Sheridan would have to lose another game for this to be an argument in my opinion. Maybe 2 more. The seeding is gonna be very tight 1-4. As long as Jackson, Sheridan, FU, and Unioto are those top 4 I’m good with it. I obviously would like the 3 but it’s just so tight right now.

If we didn’t simply fall apart at the end of the Fairfield Union game, then we would likely be the 2. But, we did, so we will be the 4.

No matter what, the 4 that advance to the Convo will be top tier teams and I’m not sure any of the top 4 will have an easy Sectional Final, so the seeding won’t matter all that much.

You have to also consider whether Sheridan would rather have the 4. Would they rather see Jackson or FU in the district semi? I’m guessing if they had to pick it would be Jackson and I’m sure we’d rather see FU. I could see that happening especially if Warren drops a game

Don't see Athens staying close with Jackson---Jackson has a better team and is coached way better---10 to 15 pts or more.

So is this Athens/VC game tomorrow for the #6 seed assuming LE loses to FU?
