Cody Remington

Post by Ukfanatic »

Congrats to Cody Remington for breaking the district Long jump record Tuesday night. He jumped 22 11 1/2. He also now owns the school record for waverly as well as 4 invitational records in the area that he broke this year. He also won the 100 and 200 at the SOC conference meet and had the fastest times in prelims in the 100 and 200 at districts. Finals will be Saturday.

Cody is cleaning up at districts. I don’t think he is celebrated enough for the athlete he’s become, but I know true sports fans appreciate what he’s doing (and done) and will miss watching him. He’s quite the athlete

Cody heading to State after 2nd in Long Jump at Regional. Cody was 3" shy of the winner and never touched the board on any of his jumps. The board is what, 8"-10"??
Hold nothing back at State young man.......

Cody's legs were dead and he had to scratch from the 100 and 200. It's a shame they have those sprints right after field events. Penalizes an athlete like Cody. Why can't the have field events one day, running events another day or something?

Too often it is too much and too soon. Seen several time where someone will do the 400 and go to the high jump and fall far short of what they usually do.
