Burg looks like they will stay D5 at 158
Trimble is on the bubble of being D6 at 113 which might be a blessing because Marion Local might be D7 at 109

Don't they still have to add the CB numbers in to figure out Divisions?

It seems to me like the base numbers are ever right. After they release these numbers every school has right to challenge them right? Or are we already past that stage

Yea these are just base numbers. They will add in the CB and that will change things a lot.

Sometimes they are way off. Most of them are close but CB will change them a good bit once it’s added in.

Base numbers have Belpre 4 boys larger than NY. Interesting! Maybe Belpre should move back up to the Ohio Division and we can end those odd numbered divisions in the TVC! Lol

Jackson’s base last year was 289. This year 282. Last year with CB added, the Ironmen were 304. I’d say you’re looking at close to the same number this year. So I doubt Jackson falls to D4.

Haha! We won’t know until CB is added and the divisions breakdowns are announced. I’d say Jackson will be somewhere around 20-30 above the d4 line.

We will take them at Athens. The last time Athens and Jackson combined forces, someone won a state title

Division Enrollment Teams
I 617 and more 72
II 390-616 107
III 276-389 108
IV 210-275 108
V 163-209 104🤔 🕵️‍♀️ 👨‍✈️🚨 why the need to have 4 less teams than D4 and 6 less teams than D-6 and 11 less teams than D7
VI 114-162 110
VII 113 and less

Is this just a fluke? You don’t think they make sure Jackson stays D3 too just to get those points. I don’t think this is a fluke. Who were the teams that shoul be in d5 with a even 108 count? Seems like our enrollment determines d3!

LOL...I guess getting your butts handed to you by a D4 team rather than a 2 division smaller team would be somewhat more respectable...if you're all about those moral victories

These numbers could change based on how the schools individual numbers shake out. Ohsaa will adjust them to keep the number of teams in each division close.

If the alignment is anything like the previous then burg will be in D6

Look at this the third colum is # of teams per division. What do you all think is the reason for this?

Division Enroll# # of Teams
I 617 and more 72
II 390-616 107
III 276-389 108
IV 210-275 108

V 163-209 104🤔 🕵️‍♀️ 👨‍✈️🚨 why the need to have 4 less teams than D4 and 6 less teams than D-6 and 11 less teams than D7

I thought the same thing their numbers were a D6, but if CB hasn't been factored in then I can see why they'll remain a DV. It doesn't even look like it'll be close in terms of them being DV though because so many were trying to say they were jumping to DIV.

OHSAA tournament divisions were approved by the OHSAA Board of Directors on January 18, 2018. | Full Divisional Assignments

Division Adjusted Enrollment Count Teams
I 619 and more
II 389-618
III 278-388
IV 211-277
V 160-210
VI 116-159
VII 115 and less

If this is correct then Trimble would go to DVII but like some said they haven't figured in CB. However when I look at the page and the way I read it is those are the numbers because it's telling schools they have till march 5 to appeal if they'd like to. So I'm actually wondering if those are indeed the numbers and if so did Burg just drop to DVI by 2 boys?? There's a nice team called Coldwater that is down there if so :D
