I am with Bama on this one. Sounds like a story of a gifted student-athlete who felt entitled until the heat got turned up, then thought they could just cut another check and repay the money and all is good. Rules are in place for a reason and it's not like they could claim "I didn't know". She should be lucky that it was a small enough amount that doesn't effect her NCAA eligibility. A good lesson in this for others. JMO

Mother is a High School Coach in Alabama and was familiar with state rules, Athletic Director was on the State Board in Alabama. Sucks this student misses a year, but the moment you get wishy washy on rules and regulations you have no rules or regulations.
