OU did not fare well in their trip to Columbus to face off against the Buckeyes, losing 3-0. The only Bobcat that could muster much offense was Spencer Ibarra who went 3-for-4 collecting half of the Bobcats hits on the night. Next up for OU is a 3 game road series at Ball State this weekend, starting on Friday.

This weekend, the Bobcats were handled pretty well by Central Michigan in Athens. Yesterday, they played a double header, losing the first game 6-2 although it took 12 innings, then in the second game they lost 10-8 in a high scoring game. Today in the series finale, OU fell to the Chippewas 4-2 this afternoon. This week will see a couple of non-conference games, with the first coming on Tuesday when the Bobcats travel to Youngstown State.

Traveling to Morehead State, the Bobcats really got the bats playing long ball on Tuesday night, belting 6 home runs, but ultimately falling to Morehead in a 15-14 shootout. For the Bobcats, Michael Klein smashed two long balls while driving in 4 runs and Rudy Rott also played long ball two times and drove in 3 runs. Spencer Ibarra (2 RBI) and Connor Callerry (2 RBI) each added deep balls on the game as well.

Taking the loss on the mound for OU was Jake Roehn who went 1 inning while giving up 1 run in a relief effort, with that run being the walk-off run.

Chieftain, is there any local SE Ohio kids on the roster for the Bobcats and if so what High Schools were they from?

Do the Bobcats host a camp or showcase during the year?

There aren't many players playing for OU from Ohio period. I don't know if Newark is considered local to some people, but there is a freshman, Derek Carr from Licking Valley.

As far as camps, they host prospect camps in December and January.

That is interesting there are not a lot of Ohio players on the OU Roster.

Is that true for most schools in Ohio (Cincinnati, Xavier, Kent St., OSU, etc.) to not have many Ohio players?
