The Buckeyes got a MUCH needed win last night against visiting OU, 3-0. Jacob Barnwell did the bulk of the work for OSU, going 1-for-2, walking twice, driving in two runs and scoring the other run while also stealing a base. Austin Woodby took the win on the mound going 4 innings, while allowing just 3 hits and striking out 1. Next up for the Buckeyes is a three game home series this weekend against Purdue, beginning on Friday.

Ohio State poured it on tonight in their first game in their series against Purdue in Columbus, 13-2. Just one Buckeye recorded more than one hit, Noah McGowan went 2-for-3, walked twice and scored 3 runs. Yianna Pavlopoulos was the winning pitcher on the mound, going 5 innings, while striking out 3 only giving up 2 hits and no runs.

The Buckeyes continue their series against Purdue tomorrow at 6pm.

The Buckeyes were unable to keep momentum going into the second game of their series against Purdue tonight, as they fell 6-1. What little offense OSU got was from Shea Murray who went 3-for-4 and drove in the games only run for the Buckeyes. Ryan Feltner went 6.2 innings on the mound for Ohio State, taking the loss while giving up 6 runs (all earned) on 6 hits, 3 walks and 4 strikeouts.

OSU wraps up their series with Purdue tomorrow at 1pm.

The Buckeyes were able to mark one in the win column last night as they hosted a very good Kent State, winning 9-8 in a 7 inning game. Tre Gantt went 2-for-3, scored 1 run and took a walk. The big performance for this game came from Zach Ratcliff, the senior first baseman, who hit his first career grand slam, driving in 4 runs and scoring two of his own. The winning pitcher for OSU was Reece Calvert, who went 3 innings of relief pitching, allowing just 1 run on 3 hits while striking out 2.

Next up for the Buckeyes is a 3 game matchup at Penn State this weekend, Friday-Saturday.

The Buckeyes were led by Dominic Canzone who went 2-for-3, and drove in the only two runs of the game for OSU, the first coming on a groundout that scored a run, and the other on a solo home run. Yianna Pavlopoulos took the loss on the mound, going 5.1 innings allowing 5 runs (4 earned) on 7 hits and 1 walk, while striking out 5.

Little fight was put up by the Buckeyes tonight, as they hosted Cincinnati and lost, 7-1. Driving in the only run for OSU was Brady Cherry when he hit a solo home run in the 1st inning, finishing the game 1-for-4. Although he only went 2/3 of an inning, relief pitcher Kyle Michalik took the loss on the hill for the Buckeyes giving up 3 runs (all earned) in his short stint on the mound. Connor Curlis got the start for Ohio State on the mound going 6 innings and only giving up 1 run, 2 hits and 1 walk while striking out 3.

Ohio State will host another mid week non-conference contest tomorrow as they host Eastern Michigan.

The Buckeyes go down again, this time at the hands of a poor Eastern Michigan team, 3-1 in Columbus. Conner Phol drove in the only one for OSU on the game, he went 1-for-4 to go along with that RBI. Starting pitcher Austin Woodby took the loss on the mound, going 3 innings, allowing 2 runs (1 earned) on 4 hits, while striking out 2.

OSU begins their 3 game set at Michigan State on Friday.

Another loss for the Buckeyes, as they were shut out at Michigan State tonight, 2-0. Yianna Pavlopoulos pitched a solid game on the mound for OSU, going 5 innings, allowing 2 runs (both earned) on 5 hits and 2 walked with just 1 strikeout, but it simply wasn't good enough, as the offense couldn't get going and Yianni took the loss. Tomorrow's match up will be at 1pm.
