South Webster lost a lot of experience, but will still be the favorite to win the conference for the 20th straight year.

There record in SOC 1 play has to be heavily tilted in their favor. Wonder when the last time they lost to a SOC 1 team?

If I am not mistaken, they had a tie against Clay a few years ago, but I don't remember a loss.

I believe in 2007 New Boston defeated South Webster as they split in the regular season and then New Boston won the Rubber Match in the Sectionals. That was the year Webster started 5-6 Freshmen and that group ended up going 31-1 their junior and senior years.

I think that's the last time Webster lost to an Soc1 team

Thank you 4thgoal! As the coach at Clay that season I was very proud of that group of coed athletes! I also was very proud of Shannon Curley (female) for scoring the winning goal against Portsmouth West in the Boy's Sectional tournament.

Valley drew with South Webster in their first meeting back in 2013. That Valley squad finished 14-1-1 that year with their only loss and tie during the regular season coming from Webster. I believe they finished district runner ups that year as they ran into Berlin Hiland in the district finals in Jackson.

SOC I soccer should be all teams and draw for games as to who plays twice and once more year. SW winning another SOC means little given the difference in programs. SW is the benchmark for SEO soccer the past few years.
